Justin’s was packed out last night as people crowded the restaurant to watch the 3rd episode of Football Wives. Chanita Foster (who stars in this reality show on Vh1) was in attendance to welcome guests and mingle. She looked great on the make shift green football field carpet! She is married to offensive lineman George Foster. He was not there but his best friend Charles Grant was.
I must admit when I watched the first few shows, I did go in on Chanita’s hair and hated the style of it. When I got the invite from my friend who did the pr work for this event, I said, “wow I feel bad because of what I said on twitter about her hair”. He assured me that she was not like that and was nice, so I attended the viewing. When Chanita and I got ready to sit down and have our interview I blurted out, “Ok I did go in on your hair do. I wanted you to know before we went any further”. She looked at me and said, “I don’t know why people hate my hair so much! I love it, I feel like Chaka Kahn”lol. She didn’t get upset which showed she has a great sense of humor.

I told her well as long as she was happy with it, that’s all that mattered lol. She then discussed her non profit organization called, Beyond theGame which she is very passionate about. It’s a 501-3c and dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the widows and orphans of Swaziland, Africa. She is also building a school there and adopting a lil boy. She also told me that she is a resident of Atlanta. Her and her husband have homes in Atlanta and Dallas.
Lots of local celebs, athletes and fans of the show came out to support. Chanita also got on the mic and welcomed everyone and said, “let’s get one thing clear, I am not a man, I have 5 kids!” lol. I thought that was hilarious. She was very down to earth and sweet, I’m glad I met her. She also introduced me to her adopted daughter Amber Henderson who’s an inspiring photographer. Check out Football Wives, it airs Sundays at 9:30pm on Vh1. Thank you to Eddie Rhodman for the media invite!
