I still like to keep up with the nail industry and what’s on trend. Daily I blogged about celebrities and their glam looks but rarely do I talk about their nails. I mainly talk about the fashion stylist but never talk about the nail artist. Today, I wanted to recognize a nail artist Eri Ishizu in the Los Angeles/NY area who is doing a big things in the nail biz with her lovely nail art designs and more! Her work can be seen on Grammy award-winning artist Lizzo, Rapper Latto and singer Gwen Stefani and Issa Rae just to name a few! She is one of the most sought after nail artists out now and I thought to give her, her flowers! She is known for intricate hand-made 3D stiletto nails. It’s extremely hard in the beauty industry to get representation too and she seems to have that as well!
Back in the late 90’s, I was a nail salon owner and nail tech in Cleveland, Ohio for about 10 years and loved it! I was booked 3 months in advance and won tons of awards for my nail art. I miss it sometimes then I snap outta it lol. It was grueling hours and some of the clients I had, oh my lol. My daughter always try to convince me to go back in the nail industry but I gladly decline plus things have changed so much. I just don’t know if I would have the patience for it today lol! I love admiring nails from afar now and just enjoy seeing what’s on trend, hot colors and what nail art people are wearing, its fun! I still work with OPI and they send me the hottest polishes that I am forever grateful for them! See some of Eri’s work inside and she is based in Los Angeles but travels to the New York City area as well.
