Straying from the fashion pack, Cardi B got ready for the Met Gala by wearing an avant-garde creation designed by Windowsen—one of fashion’s coolest emerging labels. At over 8 feet tall in 15-inch heels, Cardi literally stands above the rest at the Met. While getting fitted for prosthetics (that were ultimately scrapped for the final look) Cardi talked candidly about her feelings on cosmetic surgery and aging. Cardi also goes deep on her anxieties around socializing at the gala.
The rapper was styled by Kollin Carter, hair by Tokyo Stylez, makeup by Erika Lapearl and nails by Coca Michelle. They did such a great job! Did you guys like the Met Gala this year? I personally thought it was a bit lackluster and it was too many people that didn’t follow the theme which was The Garden of Time inspired by the spring exhibition “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”.
