If you live here in Atlanta, it was pure pandemonium over the weekend when “The Queen Bee” made her way to our city! I totally avoided going anywhere near downtown because I already new that traffic was going to be insane!!! Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour swarmed it’s way into Mercedes Benz Stadium, and the BeyHive was ready, okay! People also came in from nearby southern cities as well.
The multi Grammy Award-winning artist looked amazing as she made her appearance on stage and the crowd went wild! There are all sorts of video clips from her performance on the internet and it looked like she didn’t come to play! From the snippets, the hair was flowing, the body was bodying, the wardrobe changes were everything and even 11-year-old Blue Ivy popped out to show her cute little face! People had their phones out, their inspired outfits on, everyone was dancing in the aisles and having a blast!
Let’s get back to the fashions though! The 41-year-old Texan beauty has been working with fashion stylist Shiona Turini on this tour that put her in some breathtaking looks! Tiffany & Co was the official jewelry sponsor, while Rokael Lizama was on the makeup and Neal Farinah was on the hair! Christian Louboutin supplied the shoes! Outfits included bedazzled bodysuits with feathers, custom couture gowns and more!
During her performance, Beyoncé sang a few medleys from her album, Renaissance and also performed a few classics like, “Formation”, “Before I Let Go” and an all-time favorite, “Freakum Dress”. Yes, it was a moment! She also named Atlanta the new winner of “everybody on mute” war…too funny! If you don’t know what that is, it’s when she sings “Energy” and in the song it says, “big wave in the room, the crowd gon’ move, look around, everybody on mute”. At that time the backup singers, dancers freeze for a few seconds and signal the crowd to go mute putting a finger over there lips lol.
I was at the 2018 “On The Run” show and I was 4 rows back. I never danced so much in my life, I had a time! Queen B is set to perform one more night here and I’m sure the crowd will enjoy this last show, she is well worth the time, money and effort! See some of her fabulous looks she wore inside….
