What an amazing time I had in Los Angeles for the press conference for the new movie set to hit theaters next month called, ‘Baggage Claim’. Come inside to see what went down!

I went to a private screening of ‘Baggage Claim’ at Fox’s lot and really enjoyed this movie! It’s a romantic-comedy with an all-star cast. You will laugh you guys, I know I did. It’s shot beautifully and the storyline is very cute. It stars Paula Patton(Montana Moore) and Derek Luke(William Wright) who are friends & neighbors. It follows Montana who is absolutely beautiful but unlucky in love who just so happens to be a flight attendant. She jets off on a whirl-wind journey across the country to find a fiance before her lil sisters wedding. I really enjoyed this movie and it’s definitely a chic flick or date movie!
The press conference was held at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills on Saturday, August 17th. Director and writer David E. Talbert opened the press conference up with announcing that he had a new baby girl and showed her picture from his Iphone, so cute! I learned that this was actually a book that was written by David in 2003 and then made into a movie. They chatted about doing screen tests and working together with the best and brightest cast. Actress Jenifer Lewis was hilarious and she has a crush on actor Derek Luke. She said he was very handsome and gave her a headache lol. She really admired his relationship with his wife too. She also said, “If this script would have been sh*t, I still would have did it”. This is her 63rd movie, wow! Paula Patton loved the fact that she and Derek had instant chemistry together on set. She apologized to his wife lol.
Boris Kodjoe talked about being in love and shared that he met his wife Nicole on the set of ‘Soul Food’ but that they were friends for two years prior. La La Anthony also talked about her husband NBA player Carmelo Anthony and how they are best friends but that in any relationship there will be bumps in the road. We also learned that La La’s dad is a flight attendant, how cool! Jill Scott talked about being divorced but still remains very good friends with her ex husband. Tia Mowry talked about her relationship and how they abstained from sex prior to their marriage that made it very special and real.
The cast was very funny, witty and energetic and you could tell they had a great time making this film! I must admit they are very tiny in person! On screen they look huge but in person, up close and in their faces, they are very small my gosh! This movie hits theaters September 27th, 2013. xoxo
