Oh what fun I had going backstage to check out fashion designer Tracy Reese Spring 2014 Collection! Come inside to see the hair, makeup and clothing for her spring collection!
This season, Ouidad was the official hair care sponsor of the Tracy Reese Show at New York Fashion Week. The Curl Experts brought textured knots to life with soft, free flowing flyaway’s that glided down the runway at Lincoln Center on September 8th, 2013. The inspiration for the hair look was “Afro Cuban” and Ouidad Creative Director, Morgan Willhite, embraced each model’s natural hair texture to create textured knots with tendrils flowing around the face. This style was a perfect complement to the Tracy Reese collection which was rich in detail, including leather and raffia embroideries. “It’s about just really being able to bring your personality to the clothes,” Reese said backstage. Then there was the “window pane” nails that were painted with stripes to match the collection. She mixed skirts, dresses and more with bright and bold florals, prints, appliqued and embroideries which is huge for Spring. I also loved the temporary tattoos on the models. All makeup was done by lead makeup artist Mally Roncal who did smokey eyes on the models and nude glossy lips. Check out all the fun and it was a pleasure meeting Ms.Reese! xoxo
