An Enchanted Halloween

As the sun set on a crisp autumn evening in ATL, the air was filled with the scent of fallen leaves and a hint of caramel. At the event, families gathered, dressed in an array of creative costumes in the enchanted garden, everything from classic witches and superheroes to whimsical fairies and playful animals.

The evening kicked off with a festive dinner, where everyone contributed a dish. The table was a feast of spooky-themed treats: ghost-shaped mini pizzas, pumpkin soup, and a delightful candy corn cake that had everyone buzzing with excitement. Laughter echoed as stories of past Halloweens were shared, each one more entertaining than the last.

After dinner, it was time for the highlight of the evening: trick-or-treating. Armed with colorful buckets and flashlights, my family set out into the Buckhead neighborhood. The streets were alive with laughter and friendly shrieks as children ran from house to house, filling their buckets with sweets. The joy of spotting a fellow trick-or-treater in a dazzling costume added to the fun.

Returning home, the family gathered around to sort through their candy haul, trading pieces and sharing favorites. The evening ended with a cozy movie night, complete with classic Halloween films and a mountain of popcorn. As we cuddled up together, the warmth of family and the magic of Halloween filled the room, creating memories that would last for years to come.

I had an absolutely magical time with my family this Halloween! This year, we brought the enchanting world of The Wizard of Oz to life! My daughter Tyra dazzled as Dorothy, I transformed into Glinda the Good Witch, my son-in-law Markeefe stepped into the shoes of the Scarecrow, my five-year-old grandson Legend shone as the Tin Man, and my newest grandson Legacy brought charm as the Cowardly Lion. It was truly the cutest Halloween ever—step inside and soak up all the fun!
