I was so excited when Fed Ex knocked at my door yesterday! I received a very special keepsake! It was a Melody Ellison, the newest character to join American Girl’s popular BeForever line, is a hopeful and positive 9 year-old girl growing up in Detroit, Michigan, during the civil rights movement of the 1960s. She loves to sing and blend her voice with others in harmony. After seeing her family members face racial discrimination and experiencing it for herself, Melody decides to add her voice to those who are speaking up about inequality.
The beautiful 18-inch Melody doll has dark brown eyes and black hair. Melody comes in a bright blue-and-green houndstooth dress, a blue ribbon headband, and shiny blue patent shoes. Also included is No Ordinary Sound, the first volume in Melody’s classic series, by Denise Lewis Patrick.
Starting August 25, the Melody doll and related products are available at americangirl.com; at all American Girl retail locations nationwide; through American Girl’s catalogue; and at American Girl specialty boutiques at select Indigo™ and Chapters™ in Canada. The Melody books can also be purchased through retail and online booksellers. Retails For $115

Last Christmas my daughter received her first American Girl Doll. We went to NYC to get it and made a day of it. Once she sees this I am certain we will be NYC again. I love the story that come with this doll.
Yes me too. I’m not going to tell yah how many American Girl dolls my daughter has! It’s quite embarrassing and we have a store and cafe here in Atlanta. I still don’t think that she was into them as much as I was. I might sell them, not sure. I have all the accessories, beds, trunks etc. I have to see, hmm? I have this one too(Melody) and she is beautiful in person!
