Actress Viola Davis appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show not too long ago. She shared with the audience so much inspiration and her story on how she found her true love! Their anniversary is on June 23rd. Viola shared with JHud how she met her husband Julius Tennon 23 years ago and how she literally prayed for her husband to appear, asking God for everything on her “must” list.
I wanted to share this video with you guys because I did the same thing in my current relationship! It was the beginning of the new year and I didn’t want to write a New Year’s Resolution or do a vision board. I just got down on my knees and prayed to God that he would send me the right man. I made a short list, prayed over it and sent it to God and never thought about it again.
Literally on January 28th, God sent me my Prince Charming and I was in shock! He was EVERYTHING I asked for and even a bit more! I know that sometimes people say, it’s unrealistic to have a list of things that you want in a partner or husband but truly it came true for me. I had some things on my list like educated, adventurous, established, funny, spontaneous, God fearing, romantic, well traveled and I can go on. Always trust in God and he will see you through and he just might give you a little extra lol!
One thing I realized is that everything always ends up working out. Sometimes even better than you can imagine. Remember this when you feel like you’re in a hard place or you feel like you’re being challenged the most. Believe in where you’re headed. See the bigger picture.
