Naturi Naughton-Lewis on teaching her daughter never to settle when it comes to love:
“That’s what we should do, especially for daughters, you have to show them how to be loved, how to love and how to receive love.”
Naturi Naughton-Lewis on what was going through her mind on her wedding day:
“I thought to myself, ‘God did it. God did it.’ Because there was a time when I didn’t think I could have this moment, you know, it’s like a fairytale.” She continued, “You know, I had my daughter, I was in a different relationship. I felt like will I ever find love? Will I ever find true happiness? And in a way, like my parents, they’ve been married for 51 years…and I just always believed, you know, by seeing them okay I could have it, but you know the world and social media, sometimes it feels like there’s this idea that you have to just keep moving to the next and you’re not settled, you’re never satisfied. And finally I’m settled. I am satisfied.”
