Actress and Tony Award-winner Anika Noni Rose tied the knot with fellow actor Jason Dirden! The couple got married in Los Angeles but first met when both of them were cast in Broadway production of A Raisin in the Sun. After they kept their relationship private, they finally just popped out married over the weekend!
The nuptials took place at Paramour Estate and Stacey Thomas orchestrated the lovely day. Anika wore a custom gown by London based designer Gbemi Okunlola of Alonuko Bridal. The dress was adorned with embroidered Japanese micro luster beads, tulle and handmade organza flowers from her mother’s wedding dress, awh so sweet!
The groom wore a salmon pink custom suit by Wayne Willis of Well Groomed Men. The bridesmaids wore Simin Couture gowns. The wedding cake was designed by Anika’s cousin who owns a Boston based Tiered Cake Shoppe. Later the duo rode off on a bike, too cute! Congratulations to the lovely couple, Anika will forever be remembered by me as the voice of “Princess Tiana” in The Princess and the Frog!
