The other night, laughter overtook Bow Tie Cinemas in Chelsea during an exclusive screening of Marlon Wayans’ new film, A Haunted House 2! With over 200 people attending, it was clear that the horror spoof sequel registers as a “must see” with audiences. Arise TV’s Shannon Lanier was on site to host and warm up the crowd of movers and shakers in media and entertainment. In building was Jas Fly (Vh-1’s Gossip Game), Jamie Roberts (comedian) and J. Ivy (performance poet & author) among others. For 87 minutes, the audience displayed a myriad of reactions through the film gasping, jumping and especially laughing at the jokes and comical references.
Afterwards, the audience was treated to a special Q&A with writer, producer Marlon Wayans and his fellow cast members, Affion Crockett and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias. Answering both serious and funny questions, the trio gave an insightful background on the development and experience in making the film as well as upcoming projects.
