A Day With The Atlanta Rollergirls!!! #FiestaMovement

You want to talk about ADVENTURE? Then you have to check out what I did yesterday afternoon with the Atlanta Rollergirls, what an amazing time! Come on in!

Yesterday afternoon, I got a chance to hang out and train with the Atlanta Rollergirls!!! I’ve met these ladies before but it has been a few years. I was excited to see in my August missions a chance to learn about the sport Roller Derby! I was glad to pick this challenge for sure! After confirming everything, Fifi(my 2014 Ford Fiesta) and I whipped down to the headquarters where I met Hate Ashbury and Agent Maulder. They suited me up with protective gear, I was briefed on some of the basic rules of the sport and then I was off learning tricks and maneuvers! I have to say that I cheated a bit because I use to be an avid roller skater back in the day. The only thing is, I haven’t been on a pair of roller skates in years! Yikes!

The first time around the track, I almost passed out! As I kept at it, I got my wind up but it took me a minute…geesh! It’s a very good exercise and it reminds me of playing football, just with skates on lol. I had so much fun you guys!!! The ladies told me that I would probably be at a level 3 if I ever planned on trying out for the team, that was good to know. They tried to recruit me but my schedule is already incredibly insane but I do plan on going back to cheer the ladies on with their upcoming bouts! Later on we watched a scrimmage game then the ladies gifted me with a fun Atlanta Rollergirls tee. I feel as though I’m an honorary member now, awh! I do have a fire side to me and I’m always up for a challenge. As prissy as I am, this took me out of my element for sure!
