A street-wise teen (Jacob Latimore) from Baltimore who has been raised by a single mother (Jennifer Hudson) travels to New York City to spend the Christmas holiday with his estranged relatives, where he embarks on a surprising and inspirational journey.Black Nativity releases in theaters November 27, 2013 (Thanksgiving Day). Jennifer Hudson, along with Forest Whitaker, Jacob Latimore and Luke James has released an inspirational track called “Be Grateful.” The Walter Hawkins remake serves as the first single from the motion picture soundtrack of Black Nativity.
The uplifting tune sends chills down your spine as Whitaker begins the powerful record while Hudson lifts her voice to the hills with her gospel infused sound. Towards the end you hear the vocal chops of Latimore and James, along with the choir in unison.
The Black Nativity soundtrack will be available for pre-order on October 15 and for sale on November 5.
