You just can’t get better than hanging out with the legendary soul singer Gladys Knight right here in Atlanta! Come inside to check out what went down!

I was invited out to have lunch with legendary singer Gladys to celebrate her newest location in Cascade as well as the 4oth Anniversary of her hit song “Midnight Train To Georgia!” The event was held at the famous Gladys Knight Chicken & Waffles on Peachtree and the grand opening will be held tonight. At the event Gladys welcomed all of us and talked about when her son Shanga had a dream of opening a restaurant, she chuckled saying, wow this place has come a long way. They use to cook all the meals themselves with one chef. She also chatted about her breakfast program for kids 12 and under who can stop by the restaurant for free breakfast. All you have to do is buy the snack pouch. She says kids should not be going to school hungry and it really messes up their learning process. She definitely has a point there and love that she is giving back. I’m in NYC but my photographer Robin will be there to take pictures of the festivities!
