Xfinity/AKA Celebrate Sisterhood At ATL Wicked Screening

Comcast NBCUniversal, Xfinity, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. recently hosted a special nationwide screening series of Universal Pictures’ highly anticipated cinematic event, Wicked, exclusively for members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., including the Atlanta screening held last night. Founded in 1908, AKA is the first and longest-running intercollegiate Black sorority.

The “Sisterhood, Service, and the Power of Connection” series featured an advance screening of Wicked, along with an exclusive filmed interview with Wicked star Cynthia Erivo, an honorary AKA member, and TODAY show journalist Sheinelle Jones, a third-generation AKA member. The interview will air Wednesday, November 20th, on Xfinity’s YouTube channel.

As part of the AKA Screening Series, Xfinity also provided free laptops to select college students who are AKA members and in need, across various markets. See more inside….
