Fashion Forward An Evening With SHEIN X

I had a very nice time hanging out with some very fashionable ladies last night! I got to meet and see some creatives bring their creations to life with a few local designers showcasing their fashions, held at 5 Church restaurant located in Buckhead. I got a chance to listen to Christian Caldwell, Laura Flagg, Elizabeth Keyes talk about how they got started and how they were hand-selected to work with SHEIN. The panel was moderated by WSB-Tv’s Melanie McCrea with Journalist and Tv Host Emily Foley.

We enjoyed an evening of cocktails, light bites, and a panel discussion spotlighting creatives in the Atlanta community! We also had an opportunity to see an exclusive fashion show unveiling the latest looks from the SHEIN X designers!

SHEIN was founded in 2008 by Chris Xu in Nanjing, China. It started as a small online retail shop primarily focused on selling women’s fashion. The company quickly gained popularity due to its ability to rapidly produce and market trendy clothing at affordable prices. This growth was facilitated by its use of data-driven marketing and supply chain efficiency.

SHEIN ships to over 220 countries and regions worldwide, making it one of the most globalized online fashion retailers. Initially focusing on women’s fashion, SHEIN has expanded its offerings to include men’s and children’s clothing, accessories, shoes, bags, and even home decor.

SHEIN has a strong presence on social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, where influencers and customers frequently showcase their purchases. The hashtag #SHEINHaul has become particularly popular.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, SHEIN hosted a virtual fashion show called “SHEIN Together,” featuring performances by celebrities and appearances by influencers to raise money for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

SHEIN is known for its fast fashion business model, which involves quickly turning around new designs based on the latest trends. This model allows the company to release new items on a daily basis.

Although often criticized for its environmental impact, SHEIN has made some efforts toward sustainability, including launching the “SHEIN For All” initiative to promote inclusive fashion and participating in various charitable activities.

See all the fun we had inside…
