Writer-Director-Producer Cord Jefferson, Actors Tracee Ellis Ross, John Ortiz, Erika Alexander, Leslie Uggams, and Sterling K. Brown walked the blue carpet along with Jeffrey Wright for the private screening of American Fiction. Producers Ben LeClair, Nikos Karamigios and Jermaine Johnson, and Composer Laura Karpman were also in attendance for the celebratory evening at AMC Lincoln Square.
American Fiction follows Monk who’s a frustrated novelist and fed up with the establishment that profits from Black entertainment that relies on tired and offensive tropes. To prove his point, he uses a pen name to write an outlandish Black book of his own, a book that propels him to the heart of hypocrisy and the madness he claims to disdain. Tracee Ellis Ross plays Lisa Ellison.
I always love to see what Actress Tracee Ellis Ross wears since its also award season. She always brings the fashions and has an eclectic since of style! On the carpet, was spotted wearing a very lovely coat that was built like an cocoon with NO sleeves, it encased her boy like she was spun in chunky yarn lol! She was in New York City and it’s pretty chilly out, so I know she was snug as a bug lol! I love the rich texture and color, very stylish and she always gives us fashion!
