Oh my, the streets are talking! Are The Real Housewives of Atlanta getting a whole new cast? Its been talked about on all the blogs, tv shows and the internet on how the once popular reality show has been tanking in ratings. People are saying that the storylines are old and boring plus the cast is just not interesting anymore and pretty much lackluster. Especially since reality diva NeNe Leaks left. NeNe recently did an interview with Tv Producer Carlos King and she even said that the girls now don’t really have the “it factor” and it’s not giving real stars.
Basically the fans are talking and saying that the show just doesn’t have the drama that they are used to! Even giving controversial housewife Marlo Hampton a peach full time didn’t help either, dang!
Sources tell lovebscott.com exclusively that Bravo producers made the call to recast the entire show at some point during the taping of the season 15 reunion.
According to B. Scott, a source close to production said Bravo is happy with the reception of the recently rebooted Real Housewives of New York, so they’re fully on board with production’s decision to recast Real Housewives of Atlanta with fresh new faces. More inside….
Auditions for a new cast on RHOA is currently underway. Apparently, most of RHOA’s older cast members will be given the boot. Production isn’t interested in bringing back any old faces — not Porsha Guobadia nor Kim Zolciak, whose recent cameos did nothing to boost TV ratings.
While production is looking for all-new peaches, it is possible that “one or two” peaches stick around as friends similar to the revamped “Real Housewives of Miami”.
RHOA could go on a brief hiatus while the new cast gets acquainted with each other and pretend to be besties.
According to B. Scott, both Bravo and production are concerned with fan feedback that this has been the “worst” season of RHOA ever. Production sources tell B. Scott that several of the later episodes were re-edited to try and make an entertaining show, not to show favoritism towards any one cast member.
Recently Kenya Moore took to her instagram to air out Bravo and talk about her new business venture of opening a high end hair salon. She went on to say that the network edited it out and she even had the whole cast there, but they chose to go another way wow!
Also, this season it showed Olympic Gold Medalist Sanya Richardson Ross expecting baby number two but viewers weren’t really interested in her storyline either. Friends to the show Monyetta and Courtney haven’t really been doing much to gain popularity either and people say they aren’t that interesting either.
B. Scott also noted that original cast member Kandi Burruss is the highest paid cast member across all franchises. Kandi and Kenya earn around $100,000 per episode. That’s the same amount the entire cast of RHONY split between them in one season, okay!
Bravo could recast the entire cast of RHOA for less than what they paid both Kandi and Kenya. We shall wait to see how they shake it up in season 16, stay tuned!
