Tom and Shea Loftus at Station Restaurant
While in Pittsburgh, PA a few days ago, our first stop was dinner with craft beer pairing at Station, a new restaurant, in the Bloomfield neighborhood. It reminded me of going to an Irish pub back in my hometown and when we walked in, everyone was so friendly. You can tell that people from the neighborhood frequent this place a lot because everyone seemed to know each other.
This is one of the restaurants that put Pittsburgh on the map with their unique cuisine. As I’ve always said before, I’m not really open to trying things on a menu that read “corned beef tongue” or “chicken liver mousse” but I REALLY tried to live dangerously and atleast try something new lol! The food turned out to be really delicious and I’m so proud of myself for trying something different! Check out what was on the menu and what I dined on inside…
Fellow blogger Carrie Robinson and I was excited to try everything
English Pea Tart, this was tasty and very light in taste
Corned Beef Tongue, I didn’t try this dish but everyone else said it was pretty delectable!
Chicken Liver Mousse, this reminded me of corn chowder with chunks of gizzards, really good!
Roasted Pork Shoulder Steak, I devoured this entree really quickly, yum!
Crispy Wings, if you like spicy wings, these were really crunchy and finger licking good!
Popcorn Panna Cotta, I love sweet treats, this had a different twist on popcorn for sure!
Helltown Beer, I don’t drink beer but it went down the hatch with many…LOL!
