May has ALWAYS been a busy month for my family, so by the time my birthday rolled around, we were already pooped out from everything else going on. I still managed to have a small gathering to celebrate this special day. I really wanted to go away to some secluded beach this time around but our schedules were just too crazy. Believe it or not even putting something on like this with just close friends can be tedious. The older I get, the more I really don’t want to have big parties anymore, I guess my nerves are getting bad lol. I looked in my cell phone and scrolled through people I talk to the most and that’s who I invited out. I kept it very quaint. Plus, I know WAY too many people to invite them all and I just wanted something very simple and easy.
The theme for this years festivities was Boho Chic. I wanted to be surrounded by flowers and got inspired when I visited Show Me Your MuMu’s website. I love flowers, pretty bright colors and easy breezy clothing. That makes me happy right now. I wanted to be extremely comfortable, barefoot and relaxed. The people that I invited out bring me much joy and I wanted to be surrounded by love, peace and tranquility.
Gail Johnson (my event planner) did a great job for the time allotted and space to work with. So inside are a few pics of my friends that came out to celebrate my birthday with me, that took place at Zinburger Restaurant at Lenox Mall in Buckhead. It was fun, hot, exhausting, full of laughter, good conversation, yummy food and more! I really and truly appreciate all the love and birthday wishes from you all and the amazing gifts that I received. God has really been good to me. Enjoy the snaps and have a great holiday break! xoxo
