It’s always a good thing when you get a chance to be around our youth! Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit Spelman College where I talked with some of the students about the world of blogging. They were too cute for words and may I add very stylish! It reminded me so much of when I went to school back at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio! I had so much fun in my college days awh! After my presentation, my two buddies Nyla & Danyelle treated me to lunch in the cafeteria and this brought back so memories for me because when I was in school, this was the place to hangout, check out the boys, see the latest fashions and get the scoop. Ha!
I also spotted girls pulling up in Mercedes Benz, Lexus and Range Rovers, say what? I drove a struggle buggy when I was in college but it made me appreciate the full experience even more. These young ladies of today are super spoiled but times have changed for sure. I hear it’s not cheap to attend this prestigious private school either. I think its over $30,000 a year, yikes! I dreamed of my daughter going to this school but she wants to take a different path. I learned that over 5,000 girls apply each year but only 500 are accepted. It’s a total of 2,100 students enrolled right now. There are 17,000 Alumnis which seems shockingly low to me, since the school was founded in 1881, wow! Check out a few fashionable ladies I spotted on campus and always try to achieve and live out your dreams to the best of your abilities! xoxo
