Rose Hall Estate in Jamaica
So here are a few snaps at the famous Rose Hall Estate where they announced partnership with the island of Jamaica and will be filming an upcoming movie based on this legendary place. Members of the media had the opportunity to interview Final Destination‘s creator Jeffrey Reddick the producers of the franchise, Arthur Wylie & Dale Godboldo along with Jamaica’s who’s who plus investors for the film.
At the press conference, people got a chance to tour Rose Hall(which is a very old sugar cane plantation) and then the press conference began where they got down to business and talked about the upcoming film. Producer Arthur Wylie was inspired by Rose Hall because he was on vacation awhile back when he visited the estate and a bell went off in his head. He made a few phone calls and the rest is history! The film starts production in early January of 2015. I asked if they had any ideas of who would play the main characters such as Annie Palmer (who’s known today as the White Hall Witch) but Screenwriter Jeffrey Riddick said they write the script first and don’t have actors in mind early on. I always thought it was the other way around lol.
They will also use lots of locals for the movie, plus with production etc this will stimulate money back into this beautiful travel destination and the community in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I’m excited about the project and can’t wait to see more as it transpires! It was a great event and check out a few images below. I would like to thank everyone involved and inviting me to Jamaica, I had an awesome time! Stay tuned for more details to come soon! xoxo
