Good morning it’s hump day! It was pretty fugly out here when I looked out the window about an hour ago, it was pouring down and rain is expected all week, my gosh! I get so depressed when I don’t see sunshine! Now, I see a ray of sun outside and that makes me happy! I had the pleasure of conducting an interview with Igigi who’s fashions I have been wearing for quite awhile! Come inside to check out what I had to say about what I do in a typical day, 3 fashion faux pas, my three fashion must-haves, what I am loving from their spring/summer collection and so much more!
Q: How did Talking with Tami come about?
A: First I had a TV show called, Talking With Tami. I wanted to highlight women in business and people doing great things in the community. Then blogging came around and I launched TalkingWithTami.com. It took off and I absolutely love it!
Q: How do you see the plus-size fashion landscape in the US, particularly in Atlanta, GA?
A: I am glad people are finally coming around and giving us curvy girls some shine and cute fashions! It’s about time! We want to look stylish as well. There is a huge market for plus size fashion here in Atlanta. We really embrace our curves and everyone seems to love it.
Q: What does a typical day look like for you?
A: I start off by getting my teens off to school every morning, chat with my husband, then I start writing for my blog, send and answer emails, run errands, conduct phone conferences, phone interviews, lunch with friends, cover events, then get back up the next day and do it all again. I love it!
Q: What are some typical questions you get from your readership?
A: Where did you buy that? That’s the number one question. They always want to know where I got something and the location.
Q: What are three fashion must-haves?
A: Sexy black dress, fabulous accessories and a load of confidence!
Q: What are three fashion fashion faux pas?
A: Horrible shoes, frumpy and out of style frocks, bad hair!
Q: What are you currently loving from the IGIGI collections?
A: My all time favorite dress is the Letta, then the Vintage Polka Dot and the Cecilia.
Q: If you could spend an entire day with a designer, whom would you choose?
A: Karl Lagerfeld who designs for Chanel. The clothes are breathtaking and very feminine with lots of detail. I would love to sit and have tea with him.
Q: What advice do you have for newbie bloggers?
A: Consistency and passion is key!
Q: What are you looking forward to in the summer?
A: I am looking forward to traveling to Amsterdam, I can’t wait!
