Pinky Review: 7 Days With The 2014 Ford Fusion Energi

Good morning lovelies! What a great experience I had for seven days with the all new 2014 Ford Fusion Energi! Its Ford’s newest plug-in hybrid and my family and I enjoyed riding around town in this sharp looking energy efficient vehicle! I’m still testing out cars and trying to make a decision on what I want to purchase and this car had me thinking hard.

I try very hard to do my part with helping with the environment and this Ford Fusion Energi makes you feel as though you’re doing something for the cause. Although I live in an apartment, I did have the option of going to plug-in stations around Atlanta to recharge the vehicle. I live about 50 minutes outside of Atlanta, so I’m always trying to find ways to save on fuel. I do have to travel to the city daily though which can get very pricey with gas. Thats one thing that I have to take into consideration when purchasing a car because of my commute. This hybrid has an EPA estimated range of 620 miles when starting with a full tank of gas and fully charged battery. I liked that a lot.

Now lets talk about this fancy looking ride shall we! I loved the ice storm color and when I pulled up in valet, everyone stopped and starred. Very classy looking ride for sure! If you were going to a grand affair or out on the town, this car makes you feel special.

Great interior, soft leather seats and all the bells and whistles that you expect in a 2014 car. I just wish there was a sunroof. I felt a lil claustrophobic at first lol. This car does offer inflatable rear seat belts, heated steering wheel (that came in handy because the temperature dropped here for awhile) rear camera and more. This car can seat up to 5 people comfortably and I know this because I had to take my teens out to run errands and load a few of their friends to work and back. Roomy for sure!

I got a kick out of how this car drove on the freeway and it handled well in the rain. The windshield wipers automatically turned on before I could even reach for the switch, cool! There was also a few bad drivers that darted out in front of me and the SOS Post-Crash Alert sounded off. The leather seats were comfortable and I felt like I was sitting in a rocking chair, yes! The front seat console was convenient for drinks and I liked the extra door cup holders because there is nothing like having to hold that extra drink in your lap when ordering from drive-thrus! I’m cold natured and my kids are always hot, so the dual-zone electronic temperature control came in handy, thank goodness! Plenty of trunk space for packages and groceries.

Sidenote: One thing that I would like to point out about this car was the gas tank door. Its located on the front seat console and it took me a few minutes to figure out where it was located because thats normally not the first place that one would look. Usually its on the front panel. I was panicking and was on e, sitting at the gas station reading over the manual trying to figure out how to get the gas tank door open. That was a bit frustrating to figure out but besides that, I would consider buying this car but its just too big for me. Great for a family of 4 or 5 because of the space but I just do not like vehicles with a long front-end/hood. If you’re interested in learning more about this car, check out all the info it has. The Ford Fusion Energi starts at $34,700 xoxo
