Exec Prod Bill Nigut with us lovely ladies lol
On Thursday, May 8th I attended the 18th Annual Landmark Lunch. It was my first time attending this type of fundraiser event that was held at Piedmont Park. I don’t get to go to this park a lot because I live really far from it but its very pretty and if you live in Atlanta or plan on visiting, you have to come out to see this gorgeous place. The landscaping is breathtaking with lots of ponds, flowers, trails, picnic areas and trees. Piedmont Park is best known for there dog park, and jazz festivals.
This year they had Mayor Kasim Reed as the Keynote Speaker and he received the Landmark Legacy Award. At the event they talked about the state of the park address, then later Mayor Kasim Reed talked about expanding the park(which is under construction) and all that it will have to offer. I had no clue that he made sure that all the inner city public pools were re-opened. The point of the luncheon was to raise funds for the park and they definitely achieved their goal by raising over $200,000. Congrats to Piedmont Park! I learned so much at this event and why its so important to keep parks alive and growing in all communities. Please come inside to see a few snaps from the event and I would like to thank the staff at Piedmont Park for the personal invite!
