We’ve been framed!

The Reed Family

I remember meeting Steve McKenzie a few months back, when I went to a private dinner party with Eddie Ross. I flirted with him and said, wow your so handsome! We sat next to each other at dinner and laughed and chatted. He told me that he was in the framing business called, Larson Juhl. I told him that I only had one piece of artwork that was customed framed, and he said, “no you have to do more”.

Steve told me that he had a framing company not to far from me. Over that weekend, I was then invited to a tea party and framing class that Eddie Ross conducted at Larson Juhl(click here). When I arrived it was Steve McKenzie’s company that he was telling me about prior. The place is gorg inside with all sorts of beautiful framing pieces where he makes masterpieces for customers. His company is the largest distributor of framing in the country. That day I learned the art of framing and how to make wonderful keepsake art.

I told Steve that I would be back because I had just taken some new family portraits by Alecia Lauren Photography and wanted them framed. He was happy to oblige and we set up a date. Well I went back to his company about a month ago. Steve showed me how to pick out frames, use color and design a great custom frame piece. He showed me how the process works and it was so fun to learn.

Larson Juhl frame work has been featured in Elle Decor, Country Living, Traditional Home, Better Homes and Garden and a host of others. Please take a look at my new custom framed family portraits and watch the video clip of us talking about his work. I would like to thank Steve McKenzie, Arlynn Rook and his staff for my wonderful framed art pieces, they are simply pinktastic!
