Im not doing well today. My dootie(Tyra) left for camp today! Im not a happy camper lol. My baby is growing up and doesnt want me around much, she says she is a “tween” and she doesnt let me forget it. This is her third year going out of town to camp(www.riverviewcamp.com)  and she loves every minute of it.She has lots of friends there and cool room buddies.

Im not so sure that I love it though because im not ready for her to grow up. Its so many things I want to teach my daughter and I feel like im running out of time. I was looking at her report card(which was good by the way) and it dawned on me that she is going to the 7th grade! Yikes where did time go?

I am so blessed that I have healthy kids and that they are doing well in school. I couldnt ask for anything else and they are forever in my ear asking for things, going here and there but you know what, its all worth it. I love you dootie and I hope you have a great time. Make plenty of friends and WRITE your mother! Ok I am going to cry now! Sigh!

Awww, I can just imagine how you feel.
Wow, I’m glad to hear that you like Riverview. I’m taking my four year old to the mother/daughter weekend in August. I hope Jade can go to Riverview when she is old enough.

As hard as her going away tugs at your heart, remember that you are helping her become an independent, productive member of society. The world needs more of them..

    Here’s to good women!
    May we know them.
    May we be them.
    May we raise them.

Awww, I know this is really hard but this is a time when she can learn a little more about independence and finding herself and the things that she enjoys. I think you’ll be okay especially when she returns home and has plenty of exciting stories that she’ll only want to share with her mom!!.
