Hey you guys, well I taped my 5th Girls nite in show two sundays ago and it was a blast! I had some fabulous women in business on the show this time, like Becky Vickery owner/host of Latida(www.latidaonline.com) card designer Lexie Sullivan(www.lexiesullivan.com), Consultant Dickie Sykes(www.dgsconsultingllc.com) and blogger extroidinaire Maryan Aiken(www.teacakemartini.com). We had such a great time talking with one another and getting to know what each other does. Thats why I love my job!

I would also like to thank my director Kristie(Goudeau7productions) and Micheal Reed(avprotv) for production of the show. Every since I moved to Atlanta I wanted to be in this certain magazine. I felt like Skirt was so me. Its all about women empowerment and I just fell in love with it. I happened to be out somewhere and ran into the editor in chief Ms.Stephanie Davis and told her I loved her magazine! I told her one day I wanted to be in it.
I posted it on my vision board I think two years ago and wow look Im in the April issue! Im so excited you guys! Im on the last page under 24/7. Thats the best part of the magazine to me too because I like to read all the quirky comments people have to say and thats where she put me lol. I love my dress that I found at a thrift store,but it reminded me of Betsey Johnson very colorful and poofy just like I like it lol. My hair was done by Margot at www.mmbeautysalons.com
and makeup by Lesli Lopez for M.A.C. Cosmetics at Mall of Ga/Macys. The pic was taken by Mark what a cutie. The shoot was at Boneheads restaurant at Atlantic Station,thanks Mario for letting us take pics there! You rock!

Skirt Magazine invited me out to their Ms.Biz event and I had a great time! Felicia Joy hosted this networking event because she is all about women and teaching them about entreprenuership with her magazine Ms.CEO and on her radio show( www.msceoshow.com).
So funny because she was recently at a taping of my Girls Nite In. I love to see women come up with great ideas and network too. I saw my buddy Stephanie Davis(editor in chief and her marketing guru Jennifer! I also met a very chipper new friend by the name of Dickie Sykes who has a company called DGS Consultant,LLC(www.dgsconsultingllc.com) she has an audio cd called,Yes you can still find a job! In these times of economical struggles we can all use some great advice, if you know what I mean. Also I met Marea Michelle, who has a new book out called, The P.H.D.(The Professional Hustlette’s Degree) www.thephdbook.com. She just gave me a copy so I will have to read it and let you know how it was.
The event was very nice and lots of womenprenuers came out to the lovely Ellis hotel which is in downtown Atlanta. I got a chance to speak with the hotel’s publicist Autumn Mayfield, who informed me that in the Ellis hotel they have a floor dedicated to women how cool is that! I think you get a complimentary pair of Spanx in every room! I love Sara Blakely what a great inventor! Skirt magazine was also taking up a donations for The Atlanta Womens Foundation which benefits their organization. The event was very lovely and the hors d’oeuvres and Skirtinis was just right. Thanks Skirt for inviting me out!
