Natischa Harvey owner of Fever shoe line

TalkingWithTami:  How did you come up with the name Fever for your shoe line? I wanted to name my shoe line Fetish first because when I was in high school, I would wear high heels on tuesdays and thursdays and on monday, wednesday and fridays, I would wear sneakers. I was a basketball player at Mt.Zion in Jonesboro,Ga and my friends would tease me about my different styles of shoes lol. I then started liking the name Fever because with a name like that, you have to pay attention!  A fever is something you have to get  down and pay close attention to. I thought to myself, yes I like that, so I named my shoe line Fever!

TalkingwithTami: As a young women in business, how has it been owning your own shoe company?  Wow, it has tought me alot! I worked at shoe stores in the past. I also owned a shoe store called fever for four years. I learned first about price points, finding a manufacturer, which is the hardest thing to do ever. I had to do alot of research and have a buyers perspective. It was very challenging. My mom told me to focus on college first, I attended Clark Atlanta University and I majored in Political Science. Mom said always have something to fall back on and do the shoe business on the side or as a hobby. I was the one passionate about shoes, so I decided to launch Fever shoes in 2009.

TalkingWithTami: Who did you admire as a young girl? My mom first, she was a single parent and she taught me so much. I admire Tyler Perry,Oprah,Kimora Simmons because she showed the world she could be a mom and business woman. I also admired alot of people around me. I would listen to their stories, you just never know what someone has been through. I definately respect alot of people who had to pay their dues to be where they are today.

TalkingWithTami: Tell us some of your fav shoes you have designed? Ooh ok, 1st I love the Wendy’s! They are the leopard ones and are my absolute favorites. They stand alone! That shoe really pops! The 2nd ones I love are the  Aniyah’s. The tennis shoe is named after my daughter and she designed it! 3rd I like the Spring one. Its vibrant and full of color. Its wild and trendy and has extra comfort.

TalkingWithTami: If you could have any spokesmodel to wear your shoes who would it be and why? I would have to say Rhianna. She would be a great spokesmodel for Fever! People look at her for fashion! She is definately a trendsetter to me!
