Play Your Position, A Social Theatre Music Experience

PLAY YOUR POSITION, one of a series of plays produced by Deshang Productions and offered to visitors and guests at the W Hotel, downtown Atlanta (45 Ivan Allen Blvd). This play was developed to invoke, investigate and inspire dialogue about relationships with the backdrop of live jazz at an upscale, comfortable and relaxed venue.

An ensemble cast of talented actors are embedded amongst the audience to stir up drama and laughs from their intriguing dialogue about relationships. The beautiful voice of Jazz Vocalist Myrna Clayton accompanied by Warren Langford (keyboards) and Moffet Morris (bass) provide the mood with contemporary and traditional jazz tunes.

944Magazine Music issue Party

Me and new friends, having a blast

Hello everybody this Pia in the Mix Tami’s assistant. Wednesday night we had the pleasure to attend a 944 magazine party celebrating the launch of their music issue. The event was held at Whiskey Blue lounge at the WHotel in Buckhead.

When we arrived to the party, we were taken up on an elevator adorned with pics from the magazine and greeted by a photographer. How hot is that! Papparazzi on the elevator! I knew this was going to be a great party!

The atmosphere was filled with Atlanta music lovers and fashionistas ready to have a good time. Corzo Tequila Cocktail was the sponsor and was the drink of the night. Isoul Harris the managing editor of 944 magazine welcomed the guest and introduced the music talent.

We had a chance to hear the acoustic sounds of Frank Bell, the funk- hip-hop infused tunes of The Constellations, and the R&B sounds of Jay-z’s newest artist Alexis Jordan.

Later on that evening we were joined by Lisa Wu Hartwell and Ed Hartwell who stopped by the party. All in all it was Pinktastic! Thank you to Isoul Harris for the personal invite. Tami’s 50′s style pinup dress was made by Pinupgirlclothing.

If you are a frequent reader(which I hope you are) you kinda know that I have an obsession with Betsey Johnson(www.betseyjohnson.com) lol. I absolutely love her and her spirit. Her clothes fit my personality and she loves pink like me! Well on Tuesday BetseyJohnson store gave a lil sneek peek of the new fall line that has started to arrive in the stores now! I was too excited to go check out the fashion show held at W Hotel in downtown Atlanta.

There was not one piece that I didnt like only thing I wish that I could loose a lil weight to get into those poofy lil dresses. I find them too adorable. The black sequined leggings were to die for and the crendolin poofy skirt is a must have! Im all about the poof lol. Well here are some pics from the event and I want to give a shout out to xobetseyjohnson on twitter for the invite! Woot!

Also ladies they announced at the show that this July the fourth weekend,its by one get one free! You cant beat that,stop in and check them out. Here in Atlanta,Ga Betsey Johnson is located at Lenox Mall (upper level) and Perimeter Mall (lower lever) how did I know that hmm? Happy shoppinig!
