Kerry wanted to do Mommie Dearest and I got a chance see it before everyone else. It was simply marvelous and in good taste. Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams sponsored the furniture for the space and Kerry did the interior. The framing of the Mommie Dearest pictures were done by my friends over at Larson Juhl.

Yesterday I had a blast hanging out with interior designer/reality star Eddie Ross. He has been on my site several times and he is in Atlanta this week for the gift show at America’s Mart. While here he had a tour of Scott’s Antiques Market on Sunday. I have been there before but I had camera drama and never posted the pics, so I went again yesterday lol.

He had a nice crowd of people who came out and to learn how to shop for antiques and more. Eddie talked about great gifts you could give to people for weddings, like sterling silver to copper molds that could be engraved. I would have never thought to do that and it’s very personal and classy gift to give to a happy couple.

We also learned about canning chairs, reupholstering, antique books and how to glue them together and make book ends. We learned about hotel silver and how to collect them and use them for flower arrangements and buffets. We then learned about French ivory silverware and french knives. If you have chipped glasses but love them, there was a guy in the market that restored your glasses too.

If you have never been to Atlanta’s gift show at America’s Mart downtown, you have to go! It’s so much fun to see. There are exciting new gift items, products, people and things to see there. I get so overwhelmed and it literally takes me days to see all the products that are coming to the market before they hit the stores! I’ve been going for years now. The staff over at the mart was so gracious to send me a list of who’s who that would be featured as a special guest for this summers gift show.
