Today MetroPCS Communications, Inc. in partnership with SA Studios Global, introduced the Huawei M835 Sanctioned by tokidoki, a special-edition Android handset designed by Los Angeles-based cult apparel and accessory brand tokidoki. The stylish new device will be available at MetroPCS retail locations and online at www.metropcs.com in the coming weeks.

The Huawei M835 Sanctioned by tokidoki includes two interchangeable battery covers and is pre-loaded with a full content suite including a brand new tokidoki application, static and live wallpapers featuring tokidoki’s recognizable pop iconography, four original tokidoki ringtones and more. The casing of the handset has been redesigned to white with metallic cyan blue accents. The slick white coupled with the bold tokidoki iconography that adorns the inter-changeable backs offers both the MetroPCS and tokidoki communities the chance to collect a piece of mobile art.

The fashionable device is available with MetroPCS’ smartphone service plans beginning at $50 and $60 per month including all taxes and regulatory fees. Both plans offer unlimited talk, text and Web services and, with Metro USA℠ nationwide coverage, customers can be confident they can use their service in areas throughout the United States covering more than 90 percent of the U.S. population.

Fan Photo Contest and Launch Events

To promote the new device and the iconoclastic pairing of the brands, a SNAP! photo contest will launch in early November where photos taken with SNAP! will be submitted to a contest microsite.
