I surprised my son by taking him with me to Fox Theatre for a lil mommy and son time. Every so often I try to take my son somewhere special. I try to teach him how to treat a lady and see something with the arts.

Well last night I took him to see Blue Man Group. I had heard so many great things about it and everytime I would mention it, people either seen it or vowed to go one day.

The show started with digital readings going across the screen. The crowd laughed as they wished people Happy Birthday, embarrassed celebs in the audience and more. The show then started with 3 blue bald characters playing drums while florescent paint splattered everywhere. My son was smiling ear to ear lol.

It was a blend of great music, art, science, technology, all while the blue men performed like mimes. The show was filled with imagination and some childlike behavior. I loved how they participated with the crowd and included us in many sets. The colorful beach ball party was fab!  The audience loved all the attention and it got a standing ovation at the end. My son and I found the show very entertaining and lively. As my son would say, the show was “Beast”. If you’re in the Atlanta area,  please check out the show at Fox theatre. It will run till Jan 23rd! I would like to thank Karen H. for the personal invite. xoxo

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an enchantress.  If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
