Today I lost my dear friend and entrepreneur Stephen Gilmore who owned Schere LLC. We became fast friends and I met him a few years ago. He had a wonderful spirit! He would tell me about his many business ventures and he created and patented a product which became a huge success, the Obama shower curtain! I was one of the first people to interview him about his business and he was so grateful. I believed in him and his product and you could tell he was very passionate about his company. He suggested that I have my very first Men’s Night Out on my talk show back a few years ago, and I said, if I ever did, he would be my first guest. Well, I kept my promise and I did have that show and he was one of my guest. About a year ago, his wife Celeste told me Stephen found out he had colon cancer. At that time it was at stage 4. He still had good spirits about everything and his attitude was great. He had surgery and they thought it was gone.

Yesterday he became ill and was rushed to the hospital. They transported him to hospice this afternoon when I got word that he had taken a turn for the worse. I was in total shock! As my husband and I made our way to a hospice facility, I felt strange but walked in the door and learned that he had just passed. I didn’t get to say goodbye to my buddy! His wife Celeste wants me to tell you guys to please get checked out regularly because colon cancer is the number one killer for African American men. My heart goes out to Stephen,his wife Celeste and his family plus his 9yr old daughter Cheyenne. Today was also their wedding anniversary of two years.He was a dear friend and he will be truly missed. Words can not express how sad I am today! May you rest in peace my friend and I know God is looking over you. Here is a video I found of me interviewing him about his product on my show. Go Browns!!!!!! Thats all I have to say lol. Why o why can’t we win a super bowl? Last night we gathered at Ixtlans to root the New Orleans Saints on! My girl Jayda Cabbell really knows how to throw a party! It was the 2nd Annual Sexy Super Bowl,only this year it was Jaydas hometown in the super bowl.

At first it was not looking good for the Saints until after half time when It picked up, I was worried for a minute whew! Jayda’s hubby Johnnie Cabbell betted $500 that the Colts would take it. I betted 5.00 ha! Jayda tweeted that her hubby would be sleeping on the back porch after the Saints would whoop the Colts! Well Johnnie ,I hope you had a blanket,it was chilly out lol.

During half time, we had some live entertainment from 2 young men that I didn’t know. It was fun! One was able to pick me up, so I was feeling sexy ,so the gym is paying off lol. The guest were also able to pick up some lil goodies from the passion lady for your significant other. I loved the pink tickler too funny! Cinco’s  Mexican Cantino

Last night I was invited out to Cinco’s Mexican restaurant located in Suwanee,Ga. I had never been there but my friend Arlynn swore I would love it.I’m a sucker for good food, so I said what the heck! I went on to facebook and twitter and invited more people out to meet us for margaritas,good food and conversation.

When I got there, I met manager Raul Orozco and he was very accommodating. The place was huge and they had so many different rooms.The manager told me they have salsa dancing lessons every tuesday night. I loved the patio and dance area the place was decorated so nice. I loved all the glass light fixtures, very chic and unique looking.

I ordered beef tacos but I’m trying really hard to stick with my diet but the food smelled so good that was coming out of the kitchen, I was dying.

We had a great time talking about our companies and using strategies to figure out how to make each others companies better.I love networking with people, simply pinktastic! The food was awesome and yes Arlynn you were right! Thanks so much for telling me about it. Cheyenne the birthday princess!

When I was a young girl, I didnt have too many birthday parties. My hubby always ask me why I go all out for the kids birthdays,now he knows why. Yes as pinktastic as I am, I never really had big birthday parties. It wasnt that my mom didnt have the money to give my sister and I parties, she was just not sociable. Gasp, I know some of you may think, well where did she get her social skills from then? lol.

I guess it came from my dads side, not sure. I always said when I had my own kids, I was going to celebrate their special days in grand style! My kids are now 10 and 12  and they tell me they are growing tired of the big parties and opt out for just a few friends with cake and thats it ,wow!

My good friend Stephen Gilmore, CEO of Schere-Inc had a fab party for his daughter Cheyenne yesterday at Monkey Joes! She turned the ripe ol age of 7! Wow, I can remember that age, it was good memories. So I had a great time hanging out with her and her friends and family.She looked cute and the theme was Hello Kitty! As long as it was pink, I was happy,tee hee!

I gave her the So In Style Barbie, I heard she likes dolls. I gave her Trichelle and Janessa. She actually got quite a few Barbies I was checking them out lol. She is such a sweetie and I wish her many more Pinktastic Birthdays!

I’m so proud of myself! I taped my very first Mens Nite In show! It was so great to get together 4 professional handsome young men and feature them on Talking with Tami! I was getting alot of heat because you know that Im all about women in business because I feel as though we need a stronger voice in the community. So I started to get emails and approached by men that hey we need luv too. So I decided to get together some men that I knew.
