When I was a young girl, I didnt have too many birthday parties. My hubby always ask me why I go all out for the kids birthdays, now he knows why. Yes as pinktastic as I am, I never really had big birthday parties. It wasnt that my mom didnt have the money to give my sister and I parties, she was just not sociable. Gasp, I know some of you may think, well where did she get her social skills from then? lol.
Stephen, Monkey Joe,Cheyenne
I guess it came from my dads side, not sure. I always said when I had my own kids, I was going to celebrate their special days in grand style! My kids are now 10 and 12 and they tell me they are growing tired of the big parties and opt out for just a few friends with cake and thats it ,wow!
My good friend Stephen Gilmore, CEO of Schere-Inc had a fab party for his daughter Cheyenne yesterday at Monkey Joes! She turned the ripe ol age of 7! Wow, I can remember that age, it was good memories. So I had a great time hanging out with her and her friends and family. She looked cute and the theme was Hello Kitty! As long as it was pink, I was happy, tee hee!
I gave her the So In Style Barbie, I heard she likes dolls. I gave her Trichelle and Janessa. She actually got quite a few Barbies I was checking them out lol. She is such a sweetie and I wish her many more Pinktastic Birthdays!
Check out the pics below and thanks to Stephen for the personal invite!
I got an invite to go to a great party last nite! I must say this has been a great week for parties! I’m exhausted but had lots of fun! Im almost running out of pink outfits can you believe that? Ha! Lisa Cunningham is a Pinktastic lady that I met last year on a video shoot. She was directing a hott music video for a client and I was on set to see how it all went down. She is very professional and knows her job all to well,we became fast friends. Later this year she sent me a message that she really enjoyed my tweets. I was taken back because I know she is a very busy lady and I never would imagine that she would have time to read my twitter posts. Awh,I was very flattered!
Lisa Cunningham and I
After that her and I kept in touch. I recieved an invite to Lisa’s launch party from April Love, her publicists. Lisa had warned me that it was going to go down at her party and wow she was right! I had a chance to go see her facility a couple weeks prior and this place is a full entertainment production facility, and a one stop shop for all your needs. I thought the front office space was all she had till she took me on tour. Lisa then opened this other door and poof, a whole new world was back there! Editing suites, sound booths, studios, makeup rooms, the whole nine! They even have their own trucks to move their equipment to different locations, she is huge! What did I expect though, this is a million dollar company! I’m so proud of young people starting their own companies and she really has inspired me!

Back to the partee! So we get there and its wall to wall people! The red carpet has all sorts of people posed up and giving shout outs and congrats to United Front Media. I get my pose on and proceed to go inside. First thing I see is a James Bond look a like! He was a hottie and the bond girl was in a gold swimsuit, she was posed up on this pedastal! I was really liking this party already and that was just walking in the door, what! lol. It looked like I was walking into a 007 movie! There were these huge silver umbrellas everywhere, like people were on a photo shoot. This was some hollywood stuff and my head was spinning!
Sexy Bond Girl
Next was a model resembling Coffey from those black exploitation movies, she was hott and had a bangin body! Iasked Lisa was she real because girlfriend had a booteee! lmao! Every time you walked a lil further into the party it got wilder, I was like wow whats next! It kinda reminded you of going to the haunted house and you just didnt know what was going to be behind the next door lol! So then we walked down this narrow hall and the music got really loud. We proceeded thru and there was all these people at tables.Different colored strobe lights were flashing and changing colors throughout the party!
Coffey model
It was dancing girls looking too cute and DJ Trauma up on the stage spinning on the wheels of steel! I was like wow this is hott! We kept walking because I wanted to see more! There was a model that looked like Billie Holiday, she was dressed in a white flapper dress with beaded feather headwrap, too cute. Then I saw a beautiful lady that looked like Marilyn Monroe. On the other side of the room, there was a model dressed like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, with ToTo as well! In this particular room was tropical food, desserts, bars in every corner, people mingling and dancing.
Dancers at party
I’ve never had so much fun in my life,it was good to see everyone! The music was great,DJ Trauma kept me dancing all night long! I thought I was looking hott because I did my own face. I tried to mimic a Barbie look and I thought I did a pretty good job of it! My friend Danielle Armstrong from www.organicpr.com and I boogied in our chairs as she yelled out,” Tami you do a mean chair dance”! I laughed so loud because that is exactly what I was doing! It was so crowded that I just danced in my seat,we’ve all done that! Shout out to Stephen Gilmore(www.schere-inc.com ) my designated driver for picking me up! I know you had fun too!
My chair dance partner Danielle lol
