“The world awaits in anticipation to hear, and I am thrilled to exclusively premier Amber’s song” says Perez.

Amber Rose’s celebrity began online and that’s where she feels her music career should start as well.

“I couldn’t have thought of a better place to launch my music career than with the King of the blogosphere, Perez Hilton,” says Amber.

“I’m so excited to release my first song… It’s CRAZY!  Working with my boyfriend Wiz is a dream come true; I am fortunate to have his support.”

“This is a very personal song  to me that I wanted to record for my fans.  I want people to see the world from my eyes, you know, from BEHIND MY SHADES!  It’s my interpretation of what it means to be “FAMOUS,” which is not something superficial but instead being self-confident and happy with who you are. You can feel famous everyday if you believe in yourself!” explains Amber.

I’m a fan of rapper Common’s music. He is definitely respected in the music industry with his witty and conscious lyrics that he puts out. I was invited out to a private listening party for Commons upcoming album, The Dreamer, The Believer last night at Jermaine Dupri’s studio in Atlanta. I never been to that studio but it was very nicely decorated. As we pulled up, fly cars were parked out front and all sorts of celebs were making their way inside.

In the party I spotted Keri Hilson, Towanda Braxton, Bu(Akon’s Brother) Neyo and his fiance Monyetta Shaw, J Holiday, Young Jeezy and a host of other record execs and industry people. It was jammed pack and I’m sure it was over capacity but everyone was excited to hear Commons latest project. The man of the hour finally arrived, very hyped up and in a good mood. He thanked everyone for coming out and said, follow him to the studio! We gathered around then he started to talk about his inspiration for the new album. He said, “I’m a hip hop n*gga and there is different sides to me. When you listen to my album, I want you to be motivated and inspired, thats my ultimate goal.” He then started blasting off the new tracks for us to hear.

Here are the songs he played in order:

  • Raw~ about going to a club
  • Sweet~ this song has a newly released video that came out today. Its about hip hop music. The video pays homage to Haiti and thats where it was filmed.
  • Cloth~ two people cut from the same cloth, nice!
  • Celebrate~Very upbeat, sure to get a lot of airplay
  • The Dreamer~deep song about feelings, Maya Angelou featured on track
  • Ghetto Dreams~hard core about him and a girl having dreams of getting out the hood.
  • Gold~headbanger great song
  • Believer~up temple nice song

After we listened to all the songs, he thanked us for coming out. He then did a little freestyle for us and the crowd loved it. The whole cd was produced by No I.D. and my favs were Cloth and The Dreamer. In his songs he talks a lot about relationships which is good to hear. The album, The Dreamer and Believer hits stores Dec.20th. Thanks to S.T.E.P.S Events & Warner Bros for the invite out!

Sidenote: When we left the party our cars were parked in valet. As I got into my car, there was a book on my front seat. Me being from Cleveland, Ohio I instantly thought someone was sitting in my car reading a book to pass the time away and forgot their book, wth!!!  I got upset and it was dark out before I took a closer look and saw that it was Common’s latest book, One Day It’ll All  Make Sense, how cute to leave a lit keepsake in my car, loved that idea! I’m a mess but thanks Common! xoxo

Rapper Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose boo, covers this weeks issue of Rolling Out Magazine. In this issue Wiz talks about his hit song, Black and Yellow, drugs, arrests and more. Check out some of his fun pics from his photo shoot with Hannibal Matthews.

“It’s just a dream come true,” Khalifa says about the popularity of “Black and Yellow.” “The Steelers run to the Super Bowl was huge. It became the song everyone wanted to play during the Super Bowl. Lil Wayne came with the ‘Green and Yellow’ remix, and it made the record stand out. A lot of people were on to me because of my underground success, and I didn’t know if I was going to be able to cross over. But, with the support of all of the DJs and people downloading it on iTunes, it’s become a huge crossover hit.”
“Black and Yellow” is the type of hit that can change a young emcee’s life. The song provided a remarkable boost to Khalifa’s music career, and it’s caused a few attention-grabbing women to take notice. He has been photographed with Natalie Nunn of “The Bad Girls Club” and Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend, Amber Rose.
In January 2011, Rose confirmed their relationship by tweeting, “I need my baby. I’m so in love I don’t care what anyone says that’s my baby. I found happiness. My heart is with Cam[eron Thomas].”
