Jill Scott in Convertible dress

I was so excited today because I received my Monif C convertible dress! They were out of stock in the pink one but they sent me the pumpkin color instead. My girlfriend Tish was here with me, so she said she would help me make different styles. We watched a couple of  Monif C instructional videos and Tish assured me this was going to be easy as pie. I wasn’t to convinced at first.

I put on a strapless bra and stepped into the dress and the first thing I noticed was that it was really long. I assume that they made it that long just in case some customers are tall. I’m 5’5″ not too short but it was just a few inches longer.  All I have to do is take it to a seamstress for a quick hem and I’m in business. I put on my tallest heels I had and we got started. Tish is about 5’8″ so she said that would be a perfect length for her.

The basic look

First we did the simplest style which was just bringing the two straps to the back, then back around to the front with a double knot. Then we did tried the strapless look, which was my favorite! If you’re a frequent reader, I wear a lot of strapless dresses! When we tried this style, I thought the straps were going to fall down because of the size of my bust but the material stayed in place. Oh, did I mention that the material feels like you’re wearing pajamas! It’s very light weight, comfy plus stretchy, love it!

The last look we tried was the goddess look, that’s what we named it lol. If only it was in white,I would have looked like I was a Greek goddess lol. This style was quite sexy with half the shoulder out.With great accessories and shoes this look would be a knockout! I loved all the styles but from watching the video, I can create many different looks. I had Tish help me today with styling the convertible dress but one person can definitely do it. I want to thank Tish for participating in my review and thanks to Monif C for sending me over this fabulous dress! It definitely gets an A+ for comfort and style! You will be seeing me on a red carpet in this dress! Tish has ordered 2 (one in pink and one in white).

My girlfriend Tisha Deshields kept telling me about this cute place located down the street from her. She said, “Tami, you have to come check it out,its all pinky!” Well, yesterday afternoon I got a chance to go see this Pink Pastry Parlor that she was talking about. When we walked in I got the biggest grin on my face! It was decked out head to toe with pinkness!

I love going to all these cool places and so many of my readers email me about pink places to go to! I was truly in pink heaven! When you first enter the business there is a bakery that sells all sorts of sweets, like trouffles,cupcakes,cakes and soo much more. The lady behind the counter then said,Oh there is more! We went around the corner and there was this huge space that girls of all ages can have any type of party! If you want a spa party,tea party,cooking party,this is the place to go.

All the rooms were themed decorated and it was soo Pinktastic! I was unable to meet the owner of the business but I can tell she is going to be my new bestie lol. Please check out the pics and if your in the Norcross,Ga area please stop in for some pinkalicious treats or plan a party!

All the girls at Legally Blonde the Musical at Fox Theatre

Hey you guys, just wanted to let you know that we had a Pinktastic time at Legally Blonde The Musical! It was held at the beautiful Fox Theatre in downtown Atlanta,Ga. I thought the play was very well done and the outfits Ms.Elle wore were amazing! Becky Gulsvig played Elle Woods, she had a great voice and was sqeeky sounding  just like my voice lol.

 I also want that pink sparkle wrap dress that she wore at the end,wow I need that like asap! The costume designer Gregg Barnes did a great job styling her. Everyone loved the dogs they used in the show too! Frankie(the chihuahua)played “Bruiser” was just as stylish as Elle, with her pink ensembles. Nelly(the bulldog) played Rufus, she did her part well too! The other actors and dancers did a Pinktabulous job, go Legally Blonde woot! I loved her bff’s they always had Elle’s back, loved that!

I recommend everyone to go see it in your hometown when it comes, its well worth it! Especially the girly girls like me! Oh yeah,I had some lucky winners who came to the show too! Tisha,Jayda,Jeri, Monica, and Meisha thank you guys for coming out,we had a blast! My daughter Tyra had a great time hanging out with us big girls, she is a Legally Blonde fan and pink lover like her mom! My good friend Jayda Cabbell is doing so many wonderful things in the community. I had to give her props. God has really blessed this talented young lady. I remember when I met Jayda Boo a couple of years ago standing in line at a tv studio. She told me she was starting a cooking show called, www.divvadishes.com . I thought that was the cutest name plus she likes to wear heels and serve families. Weve been friends every since and we both are Gemini’s, so we are both wild and crazy. We have alot in common as well, like our love for shopping,shoes,family,waking up early and having high pitched voices lol. Jayda always tries to get me to come out and feed the homeless with her too,which Im warming up to.Jayda is also giving young girls Prom dresses to those less fortunate. I gave her the black n pink number for a special girl.

My friend Jayda is a Katrina survivor leaving everything behind in New Orleans. She brought her family to Atlanta and made this her home now. She moved into a hotel and still prepared meals for the homeless in her tiny kitchenette and kept this up till today. In the meantime,she met a wonderful guy and soon married. Now my Jayda Boo has blessings running over because she has a big beautiful house for her large family! I know God is going to bless her more and more because she has a huge heart. Here is someone who is not selfish and doing Gods work daily! Give her praise she derseves it! Here are some pics of me and my girlies hanging out at her new home.
