Summertime Pool Party with Atlanta’s Finest

I’m still kinda frazzled after hanging out last night to the wee hours of the morning. You know I had to be with my partner in crime, Lisa Wu Hartwell, who’s a night hawk and fellow party gal (lol). We made our way to the boonies to an extravagant pool party.

Executive producer Roger Bobb hosted the affair along with Jonell Whitt to celebrate two years of her branding company and her birthday. The event was full of friends, Atlanta flavor, celebs and more! I spotted “Real Housewives’ ” Cynthia Bailey and her hubby, Peter; “Football Wives’ ” Chanita Foster and her boo, George; Bob Whitfield; rappers Diamond and Yung Joc;Executive Producer/Creator Jacque Edmonds-Cofer and the cast of BET’s “Let’s Stay Together”; Jazzy Pha; singer Ray Lavender; and a host of others.

The crowd got to see a fashion show poolside put on by ATC Studios as we sipped on Grey Goose cocktails. It was a scorcher outside, so those drinks came in handy. Inside the house, executive chefs prepared grilled corn on the cob, baked chicken, salad and strawberry shortcake. I also was loving the Mizani swag bags! I had a blast hanging out, and I would like to thank Jonell for the personal invite! xoxo

Pinky Review Mizani Hair Products

I was recently shipped some fabulous products from Mizani and all I can say is wow! My best friend who’s a hairstylist in Cleveland always used these products on my hair when I lived there. Their products never left a residue on my hair and made it look so shiny and healthy.

My daughter’s 13 year old BFF has some pretty hair and it’s natural. She said her scalp was itchy and thats when I leaped into action and said, “hey let me use you as a model for these hair products Mizani sent me”. She was happy to let me try them on her.

They shipped me:

Coconut Souffle
Supreme Oil
Butter Blend Microfusion
Iron Curl
Moisturizing Silk Cream Conditioner

I sectioned her hair off and applied the Coconut Souffle which smells divine. It’s lightweight and didn’t leave her hair heavy. It gave her a great shine! I also applied a dab of Supreme Oil to the ends of her hair and then brushed through. I gave her a great side ponytail and she was smiling ear to ear. She is very camera shy but she loved her new do and the itchiness from her scalp vanished! I used the Supreme Oil on my hair as well and it gave it a nice sheen! Thanks Mizani for sending the products, I can’t wait to try the others! xoxo

Bronner Bros pt 2

Like a crackish person, I went back downtown to see what I could see at the second day of the Bronner Bros hair show. Well today was a totally different crowd …what happened? I left feeling like ok, well maybe I should have stayed home.It just didnt give off that same energy and everyone was very quiet. I wanted drama and excitement like yesterday but didnt get it. Even the hairstyles people were sporting today was just okay and alot more reserved… hmm. I did see some unusual hairstyles sprinkled here and there.

All the vendors were there again slashing prices because they probably didnt want to lugg all those products home lol. They had another hair battle and the commentator name was Glynn Jackson. He was funny and told me he was having an event in D.C. soon.Its the 17th annual Golden Scissors Awards a star studded salute to Micheal Jackson. Its Dec 6th at the Washington,D.C. Convention Center.
