I had a ball last night at The Jungle early show! Chavien and I sat front row which was a huge mistake for me! Ms. Sophia went in on my hairdo, which I thought was cute lol. It was all good though, she loves me lol. The Jungle has a 8pm show for all those that work or that are not night hawks. I love that they have an earlier show because I’m not a night person at all.

Last nights show was full of surprises. The Stars of the Century started off with an opening act paying homage to all the fun tv shows from the 70′s. First was Archie Bunker,Wonder Woman,Maude,Happy Days,Laverne and Shirley, Good Times and The Jeffersons. The costumes were hilarious and everyone was laughing in the audience.

Then Ms.Sophia came out and did her routine to a gospel song called, He is forever. I always wonder with all of that twisting, turning and head shaking, how does her wig stay on lol? Joe Jackson did a tribute to Freddy Jackson, “Rock me tonight” and I loved his suit!

All the acts were really good and I loved Desmond Bonae doing At Last, in her vintage pink cape and hot pink dress, it was something to see! Racquell Lord did an amazing job too! Loved her black outfit with rhinestoned bra, wow! The men of Stars of the Century came out later in pastel colored ties and shirts and song, “Do you mind” by Earth Wind and Fire. That was a great skit.

Ms.Niesha(the show director) then came out and did Lion King and everyone rushed the stage. Her jungle outfit was amazing and she really worked the crowd! The makeup was fabulous and I cant wait to have an event so I can have her perform for me! Everyone in the show did a great job! Take a look at the pics and the next 8 o clock show will be Aug 23rd. You have to see the drag show its very entertaining!

American Black Film Festival kick off party

Last night was the kick off party for the American Black Film Festival. Lots of people came out to show support to Will Packer, who has produced soo many great films like, Trois, Stomp the Yard and his latest project, Takers. He told the crowd how he went to the American Black Film Festival and got distribution for his films. Now he is doing extremely well. Roger Bobb was in attendance as well and said a couple of words to inspire others to live their dream and keep going. There were also alot of actresses there to support like, Melyssa Ford, who told me she had several projects in the works. She told me she was wearing Christian Dior shoes, haute!

I also ran into Bill Bellamy, who said he is here to tape an episode of Meet the Browns. He said he also has a new movie that will be released this summer, it’s a comedy ofcourse lol. My girl Lisa Wu Hartwell, Terri Vaughn and Denise Boutee were there too. Check out the pics below, it was a fun crowd. Shout out to Will Packer and staff for allowing me to attend!

Pop singer and reality tv star, Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas had a viewing party last night at Ludacris spot Straits. Her publicist Christal Nims said that Chilli wanted to have an intimate affair with close friends and wanted to keep it simple. We reviewed the show,Chilli Project and I must say ,I loved it!  Maybe I loved it even more because you can see me chatting away several times in the background in a raspberry colored dress ha!

The Chilli Project is a new reality  show that I would like to say is quite different than what you would normally see on Vh1. Chilli said she fought to keep african american people in a good light. The show was funny and her relationship coach, really brings the heat with her sassiness and bluntness.

I loved her slingback wedge shoes she was wearing and she said they were Guiseppe Zanoitti’s. Wow thats 3 times, I’ve mentioned their shoes on my blog in this last week lol. Chilli’s outfit was very cute.

There is also a some scenes with her ex beau Dallas Austin, plus her friend Floyd Mayweather. Floyd and Chilli have great chemistry on camera and the photo shoot scene (shot my Calvin Evans) makes you wonder if there is really a relationship brewing off set… hmm?
