I was too tickled pink when Fed Ex delivered me a So In Style Barbie in Pastry yesterday! Mattel was so fab to send me over Grace decked out in a hot pink Pastry jogging outfit with matching sneakers! Ofcourse this makes for a great Pinktastic Saturday post! The packaging is too cute with Pastry and So in Style logos all over the box. On the back of the box is all the Barbies wearing the Fall pastry clothing and a photo of Angela & Vanessa Simmons.

I love Grace high ponytails with matching pink bows. I looked online and from what I did research on, these dolls are not available on shelves as of now but should hit stores by Fall. I feel special to get Grace early.Last week the Simmons girls launched the new line and held a Pinktabulous party to unveil them. I have the first So In Style Barbies ever made and I am happy to add this new dolly to my collection. Thanks to Mattel for sending her over!

You guys know I am loving these pictures of Angela and Vanessa Simmons at their launch party for Pastry’s So In Style Barbie Collection held in Beverly Hills,Ca at the SLS Hotel.I interviewed these ladies a few years ago and they were a delight! The new collection of dolls are pimped out in Pastry tennis shoes and cute fashionable ensembles. Angela and Vanessa also launched their new shoe line. Being a Barbie collector myself, I find this very adorable.I have the first So In Style Barbies ever made! My friend Stacey McIrby who use to work at Mattel and designed the So In Style Barbies, collaborated with the ladies to design this line before leaving the company. I talked to Stacey who has now starting her own line called, Obama 2012 dolls. I’m also loving the Simmons girls doll like inspired dresses made by Project Runway’s Chris March! They were definitely channeling Barbies with their outfits of choice, accessories and makeup…simply Pinktastic! The event was sponsored by Mattel and Pastry. Congrats to these chicapreneurs!

Janet Jackson American Idol Janet Jackson has her very own Barbie!

Awh, I was so excited when I got the news that Miss Janet Jackson has her very own Barbie! The doll is too cute but the only thing is, I wish she had long hair.I like to comb through my Barbies hair lol.

The doll is for a great cause for Project Angel Food that feeds lots of people in Los Angeles who have complications with H.I.V and Aids. The Barbie doll was inspired from a gown she wore during her recent appearance on American Idol. Mattel will donate all sales from the doll to the Project Angel Food charity. One lucky person who bids the highest gets this one of a kind doll!  Great job! xoxo
