The 138th Annual Kentucky Derby took place over the weekend and ofcourse people pulled out all the stops with their fancy hats! I love me a good hat and there was plenty at Churchhill Downs! My favorite hat out of the bunch was my buddy, talk show host Jeannie Mai from “How Do I Look”! She was very stylish and that hat was AMAZEBALLS! Mary J. Blige made her “Wendy” show debut and no question was off limits. The two divas talked about Mary’s struggle with sobriety, her marriage to Kendu, plus if she plans on being a mom anytime soon. I love Mary’s purple leopard dress, so cute and that hairdo! I have NEVER met Mary J Blige, I’m really surprised. The one time I was suppose to, she had to cancel last minute. Congrats to her on her new album too! Last night I really tried to stay up to watch the 2012 Golden Globe awards. It’s just so boring to me and I don’t know half the actors at the darn event so I just went right to sleep. Before heading off to lala land, I did get excited for Octavia Spencer and Viloa Davis winning awards that were well deserved in their roles in the blockbuster hit, The Help, so congrats to them. Viola Davis gets my best dressed! I love EVERYTHING about what she had on,Emilio Pucci dress,shoes,clutch and her hair & makeup was on point! Congrats to her and her glam team! Now it’s time for who gets a Pintastic, Straddling The Fence and Chile Bye! Let’s Go!

Filming for “Vh1 Divas Celebrates Soul” at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City wrapped on Friday, Dec. 18. The show airs Monday, Dec. 19 at 9 p.m. EST, so I don’t yet have a recap of the show, but I do have my thoughts on the red carpet arrivals that looked a tad bit lackluster. What in the world were these celebrities thinking? Everyone looks tired, un-enthused, jet lagged and worse. And while, I don’t have a favorite look, if I had to pick someone that looked half way decent, I’d have to go with singer Estelle. Lets get started with who looked Pinktastic, who straddled the fence, and which celebrities get a ‘chile bye!’

The 42nd Annual American Music Awards aired last night and let’s just say it made me fall asleep quickly! All I know is that Nikki Minaj took home album of the year and congrats to her! She beat out Jay Z and Kanye wow! I did not have a favorite on the red carpet as far as women was concerned but Adam Lambert was very sparkly in his three piece suit!
