For all my shoe lovers out there, you will be too tickled pink about this post! Manolo Blahnik, the “shoe gods” for us chicas, launched their shoe line at Saks Fifth Avenue in Buckhead yesterday.  I was too ecstatic to go check out the exclusive line made just for this fabulous department store.

When I pranced into Saks, they had champagne pouring, light bites, music, cookies designed in the shape of stilettos, sketch artists and, of course, Manolo Blahnik shoes displayed all over the store. I was in complete shoe heaven!  There were so many heels to look at, and models were there dressed to the nines, wearing different styles of shoes for us to see. They also had a fashion presentation.

The always-debonaire George Malkemus, president of Manolo Blahnik, was also in attendance to mingle with fans of the shoe line and discuss the latest collection. He picked out a great pair of funky shoes for me and said I would look nice in them. I modeled the shoes George suggested in my sketch, drawn by concept artist Joe Miranda. I had a great time learning about Manolo Blahnik and talking with a lot of the guests there. I was eyeing a hot pink suede pair and have added them to my wish list.I would like to thank Saks for allowing me to attend this great event.
