Ladies Day at Premiere Essence MedSpa

Yesterday I was asked to attend a great private event. All I heard was spa and I was there lol. Dr. Windell Boutee Co-Owner of Premier Essence MedSpa and ATL Housewife, Lisa Wu Hartwell hosted a great day of relaxation with 10 women! 5 women called into 95.5 The Beat and had to answer some trivia questions.

Those lucky winners of the contest were then able to bring a friend to a Lady Spa Day at Premiere Essence Medspa! Wow, what a great prize! The ladies got messages,pedis and manis, facials, hair and makeup done, the whole nine. Radio Personalities CJ and Mami Chula were there too! They signed posters and did photo opts with the ladies.

When I arrived, the ladies were in their white robes, slippers and sipping on champagne and munching on Hors Devours. They all looked like they were glowing and so relaxed. The women said they were having a fabulous time and they loved being pampered. Most of them were moms and needed a lil “me” time. I feel the same way sometimes because so often, we as women put ourselves last.

After the girls were done with all their services, they got a light brunch,handed long stem roses, photos taken with Lisa Wu Hartwell, then a lil motivational speech from Dr. Boutee,Lisa Wu Hartwell, and me. We all shared a lil brief history on us,balancing careers with family, and living your dream. It was quite moving and some women started to tear up, sharing their stories. I’m so glad I was asked to be apart of this special occasion because the women really were so sweet. You can tell they were really appreciative of everything.

The ladies got to take home so fabulous goody bags, framed picture with housewife Lisa Wu Hartwell and a ride home in a stretch pink hummer provided by Mapp Transportation. When the pink hummer pulled up, you know your girl almost fainted in the parking lot. I immediately made my connect to the owner Brandy Mapp! You guys will see me in that pink hummer really soon lol!

The makeup was provided by Charles Gregory Salon(and his staff), nibbles by CreolaiseCatering, photography by Blair Oglesby and transportation by Mapp Transportation .

What a Makeover!

I am working on something very nice here in Atlanta. It involves our top celebrity photographers and I think people will be pleased with the outcome. Well Rob Ector was my third stop to see on my journey and we had a ball! Rob Ector is a fellow Clevelander that I met at Derek Blanks studio a few years ago. We were laughing and talking about missing the food we grew up on lol.

Rob has now branched off on his own and now has his own studio called, Taylor Ector Studios which he co-owns with his sister. I was very impressed by his work because he has shot some great people. He is a very talented person and I love to see young men start their own businesses! We sat down and talked about the business and he told me that his studio is a one stop shop. When you book with him, you can get a stylist which is his sister, Leah Taylor,Makeup by LaTasha Wright and Hair by Valerie Hamilton. All are the bomb and have glammed up the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

Well it was my turn to try them out and all I can say is wowza! I came in a hot mess and left feeling very sexy and beautiful! First I sat down with celebrity makeup artist, LaTasha Wright. She said she has worked with many people in the industry and she use to work for MAC Cosmetics, before doing her own thing. When we were talking she said that she had just did Atlanta Housewife, Sheree Whitfield’s face for the reunion show. I was very impressed with how she beat my face! I have gotten my face down by alot of makeup artist but I’m going to say she is in my top three now, lol.

Next Valerie Hamilton did my hair. I loved her accent but she said she is from Connecticut lol. She said she has done Mary J Blige to soo many other celebrities, I was soo happy to sit in her chair lol. She added hair clips to my hair and styled it in like 20 minutes! She works very fast and it came out so darn cute! I felt very glamourous!

Then I was styled by Celeb Stylist Leah Taylor which, is the Co Owner of Taylor Ector Studios. She styled NeNe Leakes in the alter ego show on Atlanta Housewives and may more notable celebs. In her style suite she had the latest clothing, hats, coats ,sparkly dresses, shoes and accessories and young girl would love to play in there! Watch out Rachel Zoe, Leah is coming for you, lol! The style Diva put me in a Black Jumpsuit, Black Christian Louboutin shoes and glitzy bracelets and a necklace. I felt like I was Janet Jackson’s stand in,because that’s who I thought I looked like, lmao!

Then it was my buddy Rob to take my pics. I’m very comfortable around Rob because he reminds me of a lil brother I never had lol. He is very creative and can build any set that you are thinking of.He has shot Eva Pigford,Lance Gross,Tameka Tiny Cottle and Antonia Toya Carter just to name a few. I know you guys are wondering, where is my pink? That pic will also be revealed for my new banner in the new year, ha!
