The Glam Squad,Stephanie Dawn,Me,Drexina Nelson,LaTay Mays
This week I had a photoshoot with a fab photographer name Drexina Nelson! If you have not heard of her she is the best kept secret here in Atlanta. Actually we have alot of great photographers, but she is in my top 5 of all time. I have a lot of great things coming up and in the entertainment business, we have to always have current headshots and pictures. I called Drexina and she set up her Glam Squad to make me over. I’m always doing a makeover aren’t I? Now that I think about it, I do but it’s so fun lol. I love doing them because I love to see how people transform me into whatever their vision is. I never complain and just sit there and smile.

Drexina asked that I come in with clean hair. I thought to myself, she must not know that I have no relaxer in my hair, Oh boy this is going to be rough lol. When I got there, I was greeted by hairstylist LaTay Mays who owns Tangles Beauty Bar. She was like,” oh I can hook your hair up,I’m use to hair like yours and its beautiful”. I felt relieved knowing my hair was in good hands. LaTay has worked on numerous celebrities hair and most recently Kandi from The Real Housewives of Atlanta,wow!

LaTay gave me spiral curls then added two tracks in the back and then bobby pinned them in. She told me the hair she used cost 170.00 yikes! I loved the outcome of my hair and she was very quick! In the industry you have to be fast or it’s on to the next stylist,time is money lol.

Next up Stephanie Dawn gave me the beat down. She has done my face several times and I love this chica! She gave me a soft sultry look. I love how she does my eyes. I’m just glad she was able to do my makeup because usually she is at some tropical island doing makeup for high end magazine shoots. She is very talented and has a warm spirit. Her work is all over the place and she has a great work ethic.

Then we were ready to get the dress on and get to shooting! I wore two vintage dresses. Both I purchased at you know it the thrift store! One dress was like a peachy pink color with great bead work and the other dress was emerald green.It had a great neckline and I havent revealed that picture yet. I will show that pic later on tee hee.
Drexina gave me some great pointers on how to pose for pics and work my neck and part my lips. I have a short neck, which I didnt realize. I have to elongate my neck and look taller. I was hoping that I didn’t do a bad job or she would have to do alot of editing. When we were done we looked through the pictures and we loved alot of them. Now I feel bad because we loved soo many of them, now she will have soo many to choose from lol.I let her pick the final one,since she knows what looks best. Well here is the final pic of the first look and I absolutely love it!

When you have a great glam squad you too can look like this, lawd knows I don’t look like this everyday!
