At the end of every year I like to post some of the “Best Of ” from 2011. It’s fun to go down memory lane and look through my archives of all the events I covered, invited out to or simply just went to hang out. This year I was recognized in my community, awarded several times and more! It has been a crazy year, I must say! I learned to pin on Pinterest, grow my followers on twitter and use tumblr! I have met some fabulous people and some folks that I was not too happy to meet. I have gained some true friends and comment stalkers as well lol. I feel as though I have grown a lot with my ventures. I got a chance to travel to Jamaica! The very first time I had EVER been out of the country! I not only visited Jamaica once but twice in a month, they loved me lol.

I enjoy my job and meeting new people, it makes me really happy! It makes my job so worth wild! People still ask me today what do you do actually? It’s hard to say but I work in media, I’m a fashion and beauty editor of a few magazines,blogger,red carpet correspondent and I’m all things social media, how about that lol. I have seen me look at hot mess and really nice and in between! My weight has fluctuated between a 12 and 14, I see it in my pics lol.All in all i must say its been a learning experience and I wouldn’t change anything in the world. I hope that my life,family and friends stay safe going into the new year! I love you guys and thanks so much for reading and hanging in there with me from the beginning of my lil blog five years ago! Last weekend I sashayed down to Macy’s at Lenox Mall to check out the male fashions hosted by “Project Runway’s” Anthony Williams and  Miss Lawrence Washington from “Atlanta Housewives.” I’m not really into men’s fashions, but the male models were very nice to look at. The always flamboyant Anthony Williams presented the latest evening, casual and outerwear collections from designers such as Hugo Boss, Armani Jeans, French Connection and more. The show was held in the Impulse department, where catered bites were served, Starbucks drinks were passed around and DJ Jeremy spinned techno music, while we mingled and looked at the collections.

I was able to get a little tea backstage with fashion designer and reality star Anthony Williams. I congratulated him on being in the new cast of “Project Runway’s All-Stars” coming to Bravo this fall. I asked him if he was a frequent shopper at Macys, and if so, what were his favorite items in the store. Williams replied that he loves Michael Kors accessories, Bar III and Theory. Williams was also Stacey Dash’s stylist on the hit television show “Single Ladies.” I told him that was the only reason I watched the show — because she was dressed to kill. Williams replied that it was a pleasure styling her.

After the fashion presentation, Miss.Lawrence hit the stage dressed in an avant garde black sparkly outfit and Phillip Tracey hat. He sang his hit tune,” I’m Not Your Closet Freak” and did a pretty good job! The crowd seemed to like the catchy song too. Afterwards, both reality stars signed autographs and snapped photos with fans. Attendees also got to enjoy great discounts and a complimentary gift bags if they purchased anything from the Impulse department for $200. Inside the gift bag was a designer t-shirt, magazine, Armani wallet and Hugo Boss card holder.

So happy for my friend in my brain Betsey Johnson for launching her new watch line exclusively at Macy’s. She held the event at Macy’s in NYC the other day. I need to buy an airline ticket to New York so that I can run into her because she doesn’t seem to like coming down south. Whats up with that Betsey? I’ve been living here in Atlanta for over 7 years now and I don’t think that she has EVER made a pit stop here for any appearance. I think it has something to do with sales, maybe the south doesn’t buy or support like up north or out west, who knows. Well anywhoo…here are some fun pictures she took at the launch of her fun watches. I have a floral watch a friend gave me last year for my birthday. Macy’s at Lenox Mall in Atlanta,Ga was in full pandemonium as fans came out to see stars from Disney’s new film, Prom. I had a great time hanging out with Kylie Bunbury and De’Vaughn Nixon. They hosted the meet and greet and signed autographs for tweens that were full of smiles as they received a Disney Promo Poster and picture with the actors. Kylie Bunbury plays(Jordan Lundley) a very independent girl in high school getting ready for prom. De’vaughn Nixon plays Tyler Barson the popular jock in high school who the ladies love. At Macy’s the fans were loving them as well!

Before the stars went upstairs to do the meet and greet I was able to hang out with them and talk to them about the film and other things. They have been promoting the film for weeks now and they both were so excited to be in Atlanta. They told me after the meet and greet they were going to crash someones prom at Georgia Aquarium,thats cool!

Star 94 radio station was there to welcome the stars and held contests and games for the crowd. They also served pizza and gave out yummy snacks. Becca’s Closet a local non profit www.donatemydress.org was also in attendance. They collect new or gently worn prom or formal dresses for deserving girls in the community. Kylie and De’vaughn donated a pretty dress that was worn in the movie.

The movie Prom is about several young couples who have stories to tell about their big day. Lots of stories unfold at their high school as their big dance approaches. The movie is produced by Justin Springer and Ted Griffin and directed by Joe Nussbaum and written by Katie Wech. The movie and soundtrack hits theaters April 29,2011.
