At the end of every year I like to post some of the “Best Of ” from 2011. It’s fun to go down memory lane and look through my archives of all the events I covered, invited out to or simply just went to hang out. This year I was recognized in my community, awarded several times and more! It has been a crazy year, I must say! I learned to pin on Pinterest, grow my followers on twitter and use tumblr! I have met some fabulous people and some folks that I was not too happy to meet. I have gained some true friends and comment stalkers as well lol. I feel as though I have grown a lot with my ventures. I got a chance to travel to Jamaica! The very first time I had EVER been out of the country! I not only visited Jamaica once but twice in a month, they loved me lol.

I enjoy my job and meeting new people, it makes me really happy! It makes my job so worth wild! People still ask me today what do you do actually? It’s hard to say but I work in media, I’m a fashion and beauty editor of a few magazines,blogger,red carpet correspondent and I’m all things social media, how about that lol. I have seen me look at hot mess and really nice and in between! My weight has fluctuated between a 12 and 14, I see it in my pics lol.All in all i must say its been a learning experience and I wouldn’t change anything in the world. I just received some new Essie colors just now and was too excited to try! I was sent Essie’s Winter Palette Collection! You know I love my polish and if you like trying out new colors then you came to the right place! I like the hues they created and by it being a bit chilly out now, these colors are a hit!

I instantly gravitated towards the school of hard rocks because it reminded me of the Tiffany blue color that I saw on women’s hands all summer! This is a shade darker and it doesn’t look bad on my hands. The other colors are just as jazzy but this really caught my attention! My daughter has already tried to steal it, so I had to put it away in a safe space. Check out all the new colors and they’re available now to purchase!

Update: I later went over to my girlfriend Lisa Wu’s house for a little girl time. She’s a polish junkie like me and I took over the new shades to show her. She loved the color Cocktail Bling so I painted her nails that shade. Her cousin Kendra liked Bobbing for Baubles. We had a fun time painting nails while sipping on cocktails. xoxo

On Saturday evening Lisa Wu and I headed over to Stankonia Studios for a fun Halloween Bash with Big Boi and the whole crew! This Halloween party was to benefit the Big Kidz Foundation. This was the first year I didn’t get all dressed up because Lisa and I came directly from the Jay Z and Kanye concert and there was just no time to change in between.

When we got there, we were greeted with friendly smiles and hugs from Jennifer Lester(Director at Big Kidz Foundation) and other staff members. Jen told us what to expect and was a bit disappointed we girls didn’t get all dressed up. We quickly apologized but she understood the situation. I told her I couldn’t miss Big Boi’s Halloween bash because it was my 5th year attending.

There was plenty of fun costumes we laughed at and snapped along the way down the dark hall of the huge studio. It was lined with bar stations, dance floor full of Halloween characters and tents outback with catered food and yummy desserts. I heard blaring music from inside this closed in glass booth. Thats when realized the mummy painted face inside was Big Boi, bouncing his head to the beat with onlookers saying, yeah that sounds hott! He was conducting a mini listening session with some friends. As we entered, he looked up and said, it’s Talking with Tami! I thought you weren’t going to make it, where yo pink? I responded, “I know but see I still made it after all” aren’t you glad to see me!”.

It was a ghoulish affair and I want to thank Jennifer Lester and Big Boi for the personal invite! My favorite costumes of the evening were fashion designer Mycheal Knight’s karate outfit and the old lady with the walker,  hilarious! I also liked Big Boi’s wife Sharlita’s Wonder Woman outfit with matching boots, hotness! Enjoy the pics and Happy Halloween!

I had a grand time attending the Meet & Mingle at the Louis Vuitton store September 17 hosted by Kijafa Frink. Engaged to Eagles Quarterback Michael Vick, Kijafa also co-owns PNK Elephant. The Eagles play the Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta on September 18 and Kijafa wanted the wives and mates from both teams to meet up for a little shopping and to get to know each other at the fabulous luxury store at Lenox Mall.

As I entered the store, decked out women were sipping from champagne flutes and nibbling on bites courtesy of the store. The first question I asked Kajifa was “why the Louis Vuitton store?” Simply, she fell in love with the Fall Collection. The animal print dresses, shoes and booties – the entire runway collection was awesome, she felt.

Kajifa introduced me to some of the Eagles’ wives and mates: running back #36 Ronnie Brown’s wife Taylor, Jeniva Barret who is engaged to cornerback # 22 Asante Samuel, Amani Hassoun who dates cornerback #21 Joselio Hanson and Shamira Thompson who dates offensive linebacker #51 Jamar Chaney. A chatty friendly bunch, these ladies love Louis Vuitton as well. The wonderful LV staff had some of the girls model the Fall Collection. We swooned over each piece. We also got to see the latest footwear and handbags. Most of the ladies I chatted with are frequent shoppers of the store and love to buy their handbags paired with matching shoes. I admired so many of the ladies stilettos. In a word: fabulous! I was sitting on the floor snapping away at all the celebs fab fashions at the Celeb Bball game at Morehouse. It was my first time ever meeting tv personality LaLa Vasquez and I must say she was a gem! She had on some great looking python Christian Louboutin shoes as well as other ladies in the audience. I loved Justin Bieber’s MCM backpack as well as Angela Simmons Loubis and Slimm’s blinged out watch! I thought I would share with you some fancy shoes I spotted!
