I like singer Estelle! I met her at Ludacris restaurant Straits last Summer, so nice! She just graced the pages of London Evening Standard. Love her outfits of choice, very chic and elegant! In her photo shoot she’s styled by Orsolya Szabo wearing 2 sequins dresses by Diane Von Furstenberg Fall 2011 RTW collection, leopard Loubi’s,Jimmy Choos and Sergio Rossis. Necklaces by Mawi & Lionette at Fenwick. The first dress is from designer Lanvin, Resort 2012 Collection with purple fur by Gucci, faints! Makeup beat by Kym Menzies and hair by Delores Charles. She looks simply marvelous! Enjoy!
If you know me, you know I love editorials, fashion, celebrities and photoshoots! It’s fun to be up-close-and-personal with the celebrities and models and learn what they like while watching them get all glammed up. On Oct. 17 the team over at rolling out had the pleasure of shooting singer, songwriter, womanprenuer and reality star Kandi Burruss.
When I say that she was so humble, down to earth, funny and fun to work with — you just have no idea! I have been on plenty of photoshoots and I have seen so many things happen, but Kandi made everyone feel at ease as she transformed into many alter egos in front of everyone eyes. Celebrity photographer Robert Ector was on set to do the honors of shooting Kandi.
Celebrity stylist Shun Munson styled Kandi in three different looks for the cover of rolling out magazine. The first look was 60′s retro glam, where she wore an Alice & Olivia red coat, with a black bow belt, vintage black evening gloves, couture hat with veil and Christian Louboutin Deja Vu Slingbacks. Derek J gave her auburn locks an updo with big pin curls.
The second look was more of a sex kitten look. She wore a $3,300 backless Michael Kors fitted dress with gold Lanvin heels. Derek J gave her “bed hair” where it was kinda messy but sexy, while Lakesha (LadyMakeup) Quinn made up her face with a soft and sexy eye and a soft sheer pink lip.
Her third and final look was based on a dominatrix theme. This was inspired by her intimate toy collection called, “Bedroom Kandi.” She wore a black bodysuit with chain belt and studded leather gloves. Her Versace stiletto boots also had chains around them for that edgy look. Her hair was frayed and styled into a ponytail with black hairband. Her makeup was done with heavy black eyeliner and black lip. I’m trying to figure out which look will rolling out choose for the cover. Check back as we unveil Kandi on the cover of rolling out this Thursday. It will hit newsstands and online this week. xoxo
Fashion designer Alber Elbaz for Lanvin debuted his childrenswear collection last month. It will be a 25-piece collection featuring separates, pretty, over-the-top, frilly dresses and accessories. Oh, and, of course, there are four rag dolls dressed to the nines in the frocks as well! The dresses will be embellished with satin ribbons, pleated tulle and crystals. I’m in heaven with all of this, but sad that my little girl is almost grown up now … (sigh).
Lanvin also will have silk taffeta trench coats with beaded sleeves, froufrou tiered skirts and fun tees with colorful hearts and pompoms adorning them. The most fun thing I read is that they will have patent leather, satin ballerina pumps with a little poof of ruffle on the toe.
The accessory line, featuring necklaces, is said to be full of sparkle with beadwork, rhinestones, tulle and metal. The fashionable pieces are for little girls ranging in age from 4 to 10 years old. I’m sure this fanciful line will cost a pretty penny for the little fashionistas! The collection will be in stores this fall. Where is Suri Cruise? I know she will be thrilled!
