Last year I had the opportunity to work with and interview a lot of celebs. I must say it was a great experience. The one that stood out the most to me this year was Jay Leno when I was invited out to the NBC studios holiday party. He was the most genuine guy I’d ever met! We talked over eating at the buffet table and I asked him for a quick picture but after he was done eating and he was just the sweetest guy!

He is VERY handsome in person too! It was a great year to interview a lot of celebrities as well! I really enjoyed chatting with Sanaa Lathan about her movie she was in called, Contagious. We laughed and she even showed me how to work my recorder on my black berry! I had no clue I even had that feature, thanks Sanaa! Sinbad was a riot and I met his whole family, very nice people!

Ludacris always invites me out to his events and its always nice to run into him as well other locals Monica,Big Boi and Neyo! Monica had me come out to her charity event and we talked about cooking,makeup, and wigs lol. I’m still trying to thaw out my hands and feet from the frigid temperatures last night on the red carpet at the Soul Train Awards. Held at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Peachtree Road was completely shut down and there was pandemonium everywhere! Even though I was cold as heck, I had a great time. You will only see me in one picture standing on the red carpet because all the media was bundled up together with coats, sweaters, hats, ski outfits, scarfs, triple fat goose coats, Eskimo boots, Uggs and more trying to stay warm! I didn’t even bother trying to look cute anymore, I was over it! On the red carpet the celebrities braved the cold air and walked and posed for pictures but quickly grabbed their coats and shawls right afterward because it was literally freezing. Who would have believed that the day before the temperature was in the 70s!

My top pick female on the red carpet went to Shaunie O’Neal, even though I give her and that hot mess of a show the side eye. She told me the dress designer’s name but it was some random person out of Los Angeles, so I couldn’t remember it. I thought she looked great. Her makeup was on point done by LaTasha Wright and I loved her hair by Nataki Minix and matching silver peep-toe shoes. I should have asked her if she was wearing the shoes from the Chinese Laundry collection she partnered with, because chile that line is fugly! Close second I would have to say went to reality star Tamar Braxton. Her soft pink corset dress with black fringe was fabulous. Julian Lark styled her, and she looked amazing. She brought Hollywood glam to the red carpet. As for the men,  I thought TV personality A.J. Calloway and singer Lloyd looked very dapper. It was good to see so many men dress up for the occasion. Let’s see who looked pinktastic,  who straddled the fence and who gets a “chile, bye!”

Last night, Judy and Michael Mauldin of R&B Hip Hop 4 Humanity along with Bentley Atlanta and The Atlantan hosted the star-studded “A Night to Remember” fundraiser and tribute to fashion pioneer Bethann Hardison and the late designer Willi Smith at Atlanta’s ever-popular Atlantic Station.

Model Tyson Beckford and WSB TV’s Jovita Moore emcee’d the affair, which included a performance by singer Kenny Lattimore, a presentation to Hardison and Smith, and a stunning runway show featuring model and tv personality Cynthia Bailey. Interior designer Michael Habachy of HGTV’s “Design Wars” transformed the vast loft space above Z Gallerie into a chic white wonderland washed in jewel-toned lighting.

Attendees included actressJasmine Guy, former model Gail O’Neill, Anna Maria Horsford, Toya & Memphitz Wright, Trina & Towanda Braxton, Tameka Raymond (one of the show’s stylists), attorney/Real Housewives’ Phaedra Parks, singer/songwriter Crystal Nicole, choreographer Andrea Kelly, singer Dondria, entrepreneur Peter Thomas, Derek Blanks, Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall, Roger Bobb, Kenny Burns (V103) and more.

“A Night to Remember” kicks off Atlanta’s celebration of Fashion’s Night Out which takes place Sept 8. Proceeds from “A Night to Remember” benefit the Mauldin Scholarship Fund at Savannah College of Art & Design and Invisible Beauty, a documentary by Bethann Hardison. On Sunday, May 1,  I was invited to actress-humantarian and national spokesperson for foster care Victoria Rowell‘s mentoring luncheon. It was held at her husband’s Radcliffe Bailey’s private art studio in Atlanta. The luncheon was absolutely wonderful with catered food and decorations by Tony Brewer.

The event began with a few songs from the Spelman College Glee Club, then songbirdKenny Lattimore hit the stage, and the ladies loved him. He sang a few spiritual songs, then one of his greatest hits, “For You.”

After the entertainment, Rowell honored Dr. Lynn Gardner of Hughes Spaulding Children’s Hospital and  Dr. Evelyn Lavizzo of the Carrie Steele-Pitts Home. Both women received awards for making a difference in the community.

Then the fun began by having a hat show! As the ladies of Spelman College walked the runway, women in the audience bid on the fancy hats. I wanted the vintage looking one with the veil so bad, but this lady kept outbidding me. Arrrgh! The highest bid was for a hat Rowell modeled. It sold for $500. The money raised went to her nonprofit organization, and what a great way to raise money and awareness.

Following the hat show, we moved to the outdoor patio area where lunch was served. We dined on salmon, salads and desserts with sweet tea and wine. Hey there guys! I’m exhausted from covering all of these events,oh my gosh! I’m not complaining and I am having so much fun networking and going to all these places, but wow I’m beat lol. After the award show, Naacp held a great after party at the SLS hotel located in Hollywood.

At the party I got to mingle with some cool people. I met Soap actress Debbi Morgan,Blind Side actor Quinton Aaron,The Frog Princess Anika Noni Rose,Christopher Massey and his brother Kyle Massey,Demetria McKinney. Chico Benymon and I met the first time at the Playboy Mansion a couple of years ago, he is still hott and smelling good! He said he has a new movie coming out and he is still doing what he loves. As he talked, I kept smelling his neck. I asked him what was he wearing and he never did tell me!

I saw Omorosa who told me she has a new reality show coming out. She also told me she has done over 25 reality shows and thats how she has made soo much of her money. She also thanked Donald Trump for alot of her success, we’re both Ohioans lol. I got to meet the fabulous June Ambrose who was dressed very stylish I must say! She styles the hottest celebrities. I also saw Marvet Britto publicist to the stars! She had on the sickest shoes ever in the whole party! She such down the Naacp Image Awards after party!

I ran into singer Kenny Lattimore who was still working on his non profit. He told me they were going overseas with the foundation helping children with shoes and more.

Actor Idris was trying to remember where he knew me from and I laughed and started to talk when he told me,”Oh I remember you now the voice” lol. I said,”yes I interviewed you in Atlanta”. We laughed but ladies he is so tall,dark and yummy! Lance Gross and Mekhi Phifer looked handsome as ever in their suits. We got our snapshot on lol.

Hill Harper also stopped through the party. He hosted the Naacp Image Awards and he brought along his mom. They look just alike, awh! Elise Neal is such a pretty girl and she told me she was going to come back to Atlanta to shoot more of ,The Manny on TBS. There were more celebs that I chatted with but I would be here all day,lol.
