Soul Train Awards 09

Everyone and their mama was on board the Soul Train Awards last night, held at the Georgia World Congress Center. I’m going to be honest and say I was a lil annoyed by alot of things I saw happen,but thats a whole other post. I will just let you view the pictures and I’m going to keep it moving. I try to write fun and positive posts but like I hear all the time,if you dont have anything nice to say,then dont say nothing at all. lol

Everyone looked nice but I’m so glad I didnt have to fly out to Los Angeles (where it’s usually held) to see the same people walking around Atlanta. The only people that I’ve never met was Chaka Khan,Ray J and Robin Thicke, all very pleasant. I loved Chaka Khan’s big hair. I also saw Fantasia and she had on the baddest shoes on the carpet!

They wisked her off the carpet so fast,I couldnt get a pic of them but they were hott to death! Celebs that were there, I’ve interviewed a Gazallion times, so no need in me pulling out the camera, I just took pics. As you see my pics aren’t that great because the carpet was jammed packed and some of the media outlets that were there, were EXTREMELY RUDE and alot of the staff and security were too!

Yesterday was The Atlanta Housewives Halloween Ball and I swear, I saw some funny stuff. I’ve never laughed soo much in my life. The event was held at a really

far location at Gateway but I love Halloween, so I didnt mind driving. Once we got there, we started seeing all sorts of fun looking costumes! Goblins,Cartoon Characters,Disney Princesses,Super Heroes,Sexy Kittens,Playmates,Impersonators,Sexy Cops,Pirates, Sock hop girls,Pimps,Singers,Streetwalkers,Workout girls,Zombies…Whew and many more came out to just name a few.

I loved the creativity in the room and was amazed by all the pretty and some scarey outfits. Audio Junkee did an amazing job of keeping us crunk, while later zombie dancers took the stage to pay tribute to Michael Jackson by performing Thriller. The crowd really liked their performance,they were great! Big Screens were everywhere and people danced and mingled through out the night. Some cute girl dancers were on stage too getting their boogy on, I liked them.

The Atlanta Housewives, that threw this big affair finally arrived and they came dressed too cute! Lisa Wu Hartwell and her handsome hubby Ed, wore matching pirate outfits lol. Kandis Burrus was the next to roll in, saying she was a Rollergirl. I thought she was rainbow brite on wheels but she looked adorable with the afro and all to fun! She later went on stage and song several songs to her new album Blog, that will be coming out soon. She said to the crowd that you can buy her single on itunes.

Next to arrive was Kim Zolciak. She shut it down as usual with her Christian Louboutin rhinestoned heels…flatlined, I was in awh. I think she was Alice in Wonderland. I loved her new styled wig,she was too cute for words. Sheree Whitfield arrived last and she wore an Egyptian princess outfit. She fit that role, Queen of the Nile.

Your girl was dressed in my signature pink attire!  I wore a sock hop outfit with big poodle skirt. I loved this outfit and for once, my feet didn’t hurt on a red carpet lol. Usually I have to put on my flip flops, so I was happy to wear a pair of Keds for a nite of fun.

chatted it up as we watched Kim perform, Tardy for the party. The producer of the track Dito and Kandis was on stage to help her out. She did a great job but lip Synched the tune. I think alot of people were expecting her to sing it live,not sure but in the crowd, they were like awh, why isn’t she singing live?

Soon after  they started the costume contest. Mychael Knight was MC Hammer and dog on, he was great! Mycheal shut it down and I had no idea he could dance too! He told me he use to be on tour for different groups and he was a choreographer. I was very impressed from his moves.

Snoop Dogg and a female who was dressed  like an illegal substance came on stage with smoke machine and all. I was dying because that was a great outfit and the guy really looked like Snoop. Victor another choreographer,took over the whole stage, as he performed to Prince. He won the contest and took home $500 smackaroos,alright Victor!

My friend and Photographer Rob Ector costume was really good. He was Kanye West and his friend was Taylor Swift.I was crackin up and the girl had her trophy and all. There was so many fab costumes, I would be here forever  but just take a look at the pics and video. Thanks to Ask April Love and Melanie Mitchell for the media invite,I had a ball! Happy Halloween!

Celebrity Photographer Derek Blanks

Derek Blanks was nice enough to show us his alter ego pics on twitter tonite, so here they are, arent they lovely! He takes my pics for editorials and he does excellent work! The ladies pics came out very nice but some like Kim’s was no surprise. They should have had her as a country singer or something like that. I also didnt like Kandis alter ego, I know someone she knew was in an accident but it just didnt flow with the other ladies. I think all in all, they came out fab! Sheree to me,has always been photogenic. She looked absolutely gorgeous in her pics. Lisa’s pics were cute, but we like her on the show for being that. I would have liked to see her in a different light. NeNe’s pics was not realistic to me at all. Who strips with biker shorts on? I know she is a thick girl but come on now,shorts at a strip club? Maybe she was trying to have respect for her hubby Greg, I dont know. Check out pics below! Some photos are by Robert Long.

Atlanta Housewives Season 2

By me moving and carry on, I missed my girls, The  Real Housewives of Atlanta on Ellen yesterday.Im sure you all have seen the show clip but if you didnt, please click on video below.

I just want to know why my bestie Lisa Wu Hartwell didnt say much on the show? All the argueing and carry on lol. I was loving her outfit and the shoes were to die for! She was styled by Tracy Sipp and the dress was designed by Sergio Hudson,those hot shoes she was wearing were Casadei at Jedal’s at Phipps Plaza in Buckhead. Lisa always look  fab!

In the rumor mill,its said that alot of people are already tired of Kandis.They said if she didnt return to the show she wouldnt be missed…whoops, she better get to pullin some weave or something before she gets the ol he- ho lmao! The Real  Housewives of Atlanta

Last nite was the Real Housewives of Atlanta season 2 premier party. I was invited to cover media for this event and Im exhausted! Ive never had to work so hard to get interviews or photo opts in my life. I never complain about much because I’m an easy going kinda girl, but Im getting older and my nerves are gettting bad! Smh!

Lets just say that all of Dekalb Cty and surrounding areas came out to get a sneek peak of all the drama,fashion,scandal,fights,couples,kids,shoes,hairstyles and whatever else was hitting the red carpet last nite! It was all kinds of excitement going on all over the place. My neck was whipping around so fast, I thought I was going to have whipflash lol. I could have really gotten great pics if media was not stuck in the corner. Im not sure why they had it at that particular W Hotel,but it was way to small for all those people that came out. Im glad that we do support each other here in Atlanta but my gosh find a bigger venue next time.

Anyway all the housewives were in attendance and the newest housewife Kandis.Producer of the show Princess was there as well. I really like her with her great smile. I couldnt  really see what Kandis was wearing because she was wisked off the carpet so fast,I couldnt keep up. I saw something gold and glittery and I think she had on shorts but thats all I saw. She had some lil girls with her and her fiance. When she passed by me she said that they were her step daughters. The smallest one that she pointed to in the front was her daughter, Riley,they all looked cute.Her mom and grandmother were there too. They make cameo appearances in the show.

I saw Kim’s daughters again and her oldest daughter and I always chit chat about Betsey Johnson dresses. She said, “yeah this is one too” pointing to her cute white dress! I told her she looked adorable and she said,” I like your Betsey shoes”,thats my girl lol! Kim wore a  gray dress that she told me she couldnt pronounce the name of the designer but that he was out of Los Angeles. She said she was excited about the new season and that she really likes Kandis the newest member.

 The Leake family arrived shortly afterwards, and it was good to see NeNe. The oldest Bryce, I think dropped out of college. He has braids now handsome young man. I teased  him, telling him he looked like Wishbone in Bone Thugs and Harmony lol. I liked that they all came out to support their mom. NeNe wore a black dress with a nice necklace as an accessory. In a private interview later on, Nene told me that her new book,”Never make the same mistake twice“ was about the other housewives,her dad and abuse in her childhood. She told me she has learned alot over the years. She  also said in the new season, you will see her still be NeNe and that she is not edited, thats really her and she is proud of it! lol.

My favorite housewife Lisa Wu Hartwell was there too with hubby Ed in tow. Tonite Lisa was the prettiest on the red carpet to me. I must say she looked so elegant in her green dress with her big tada bow. I loved her hair,makeup, the shoes the whole nine! Couldnt get close up of Lisa’s shoes because it was so darn crowded, I apologize I will get them next time.Lisa really shut down the carpet you guys!

Sheree Whitfield was the last to arrive and to me she looked so frazzled. I dont know what was going on but I just didnt like her hair,makeup,dress pretty much nothing. She is the one who takes fashion risks out of the bunch and will try new looks. Usually I like her fashion forward sense of style but not last nite. I just wasnt feeling her at all. Some people loved how she looked, maybe its me. Last year she was killing the carpet in her Valentino white dress,what happened this year? She was with her mom and oldest daughter,that you dont see on the show.

Fashion wannabees,chefs,bible thumpers,weave installers,trannies,car detailers,the b*sh you cant stand,credit repair agents,rappers,z -listers,reality stars,the girl that rang you up at the BeBe store,boosters,nannies,foreclosure specialist,the repo man,music producers,groupies,jump offs,photographers,grocery store clerks, heck just about everybody in Atlanta came out to support the new season lol! I’m mad at everybody for sweating out my hair too, yall owe me a new hairdo lol.

 It was so fun to watch the premier, everybody was clapping for their fav housewife. I even had an appearance in the show as well,so that was great to see me doing my thing lol.Some other celeb sightings I saw were Tweet,Dwight Eubanks,QParker,Toya and Tiny, Jazzy Pha,Vawn.
